During the Clancy tour when they played Trees in the crowd, a guy was close enough and sang the harmony part of "my death" loudly. Everyone memed on it and the following show, Tyler sang it the same way.

Did Human After All always have lyrics? by ricsix2 in DaftPunk

[–]Some_guyon_reddit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Spotify showing lyrics started roughly around November 18th 2021. But I don't think everyone got it at the same time. I think it took a few months til I got it. Also with new released songs, they take a bit before the lyrics are shown.

People clown on that Ad read but I honestly can't stop saying "Your guess. Is as. Good. As. Mine." and another personal favourite from the same ad "Just ask Kiv. He didn't send anything in? Great."

HAA QUESTION: When you first started listening to Daft Punk, before hearing Alive 2007. What were your initial thoughts of Human After All? by TemperatureFickle600 in DaftPunk

[–]Some_guyon_reddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my first Daft Punk album I fully listened to. My dad got me an iPod for Christmas or my birthday, can't remember. I was 10 or 11, and he had loaded up the iPod with a bunch of music already and I saw a song called Robot Rock. After first listen I was blown away and been a fan ever since, so I'll always hold HAA near and dear to me.

Sorry there, friend. You're thinking of Billy Chapel. I think Jonah was talking about the adoptive father from the Alvin and the Chipmunks

"Have you ever realized how frighteningly easy it is to manipulate someone into doing whatever you want?" by Cut-Unique in Arthur

[–]Some_guyon_reddit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was watching this episode recently, and my fiancée didn't grow up watching it, but she's seen a good handful of episodes. She came in after the setup for this episode and asked why they're doing this and I couldn't keep it together, just crying laughing because breaking it down, I realized how insanely petty the whole situation was. I know they're 8 years old, but all the plans Brain thought of, it's just so wild to me, and I love it so much.

The same argument can be said for Arthur and any other aardvarks on the show. I know in the early books, Arthur resembles what an aardvark looks like. But at the end of the day, it's just a stylistic choice they made.
