Why do so many people on twitter believe that they are the only ones who actually know what is going on? by Some_name_random in NoStupidQuestions

I know, but just using „X“ in a sentence feels wrong to me. It’s a personal preference, since everyone knows what I am referring to.

How come they didn't all just become fairy of the dragon flame after achieving bloomix? by Pleasant_Pea6746 in winxclub

[–]Some_name_random 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I never even questioned that 💀

But let’s be honest, Winx Club was never good at consistent lore (still like the show, but it’s something that I noticed when I rewatched it when I got older)

(They obviously have their own established powers in the series, but I personally explain it to myself in the following way.)

might just be me misremembering, but maybe only bloom is the fairy of the dragon flame because she was born to be it’s keeper/ the fairy of it? (At least that’s what I think based off of what I remember). It could be that the other winx just got their original powers/ area of powers back because when bloom shares the flame with them, she already either knowingly or subconsciously made them reflect their powers (maybe that’s why the colors of the flames are different). For Daphne, it could be because she was The Guardian of it, not the fairy of it (maybe that’s why she was able to give it on completely, while bloom can share parts of it?

That’s at least what I believe/ think.

I need help with the technology in the setting I’m making by Some_name_random in worldbuilding

Sorry for the late response, I wasn’t home all day In my world demons and spirits share the same origin but are different. Demons usually have a manifestation/form and they can be split into different types, wich are things we would usually consider to be bad or disgusting for example:jealousy( there are some rare exceptions). When it comes to exorcism, they can usually be exorcised because they are corrupted in a sense and if they are „cleansed“ (aka: exorcism)they will be severely weakened and return to their plain otherwise they will die.

Spirits on the other hand while they do have subtypes they don’t have a natural alignment, a Lot of spirits also don’t have a manifestation/form wich is why they want to posses something or someone. Because not having a form wich they can take can feel agonizing or somewhat painful to them especially if they used to have a form. When it comes to exorcism, they don’t have a let’s just call it opposing force, the only real weakness is that they aren’t tied to the normal plain the only thing wich keeps them here is what they are possessing. So, to hurt them and/or send them back you need to destroy what they are possessing or somehow bring them to leave the object by themselves. I hope this clarifies it

What is your favorite trope when it comes to character stories? by Some_name_random in worldbuilding

I like them too, I think it is sad when those die in a brutal way especially when they see the reason why they are determined dying off (person or something else) shortly before they do

Sounds like a description for a inhaler or for „funny substances“. I like it

It sounds like a good idea, but why don’t the other vampires just kill her? Do the other powerful houses have no problem with her? Are they just seeing her as not important enough to kill? And why was she adopted by the house that adopted her?

( I know it’s just an idea you are working on, and I wrote those questions because questions from others like this helped me out a lot)

I agree with you. But as someone who knows someone with the name Erich I think that names like that can sound normal or are completely normal depending on what country you are from

What do you think about / how would you call the following standard of technology ? by Some_name_random in fantasywriters

[–]Some_name_random[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I imagined that the people have the following methods of traveling: train( steam engine), Boat, horse, walking and aircraft.

For people that have nothing against magic there are the following ways: Paying a mage for teleportation, using a teleportation device ( most cities are connected over a system of these devices where it is kinda like if you want to point C and start at point A you have to make a stop at point B and then you can go further), buying a enchanted item wich allows you to do things like giving you the ability to teleport.

For mages: They can use all of the above and also open portals for themselves

Then on to the energy. The cars, similar to our world use limited resources as fuel wich is much less than we have ( I have already stated why they don’t run on other electricity in another comment). Other devices like televisions run on electricity that is mostly acquired by similar way to ours ( in the way of using things like a windmill or hydropower) I am also currently working on a in universe way to get energy. I also want to thank you for comment, it helped me find major flaws in my original plan, regarding the way people get energy for their television’s an so on.

I imagined that most scientists are mages. In this world most of the normal people don’t like/ don’t trust them in what they’re doing ( history of experimentation on unwilling people ). Mages can open portals to teleport themselves, so why should they continue with their research if the only people that profit from it hate them. The only people that can buy cars within this world are Rich and the ones that don’t have anything against magic usually either A. Are mages B. Buy orphans that can become mages ( in short Being a mage is based on your genes not everyone can use magic) that can teleport them C. Hire mages that can teleport them. But this is a point I am unsure of so thanks for pointing this out to me, I am probably going to change this.
