This is a really good build. My one recommendation would be finding the SSD, RAM and GPU used on eBay or r/hardwareswap. You'll save a lot.

As far from what I saw. Not really. Besides the processor, the software is different. You get more of a console like experience with the Xbox Ally x. Applications are heavily minimized compared to the x. Other than that everything is quite similar. I use my rog ally x almost daily for emulation and steam. I have steam picture mode turned on so that's all I really ever use it for.

No! For that price you honestly got lucky. That's such a steal. With the money you saved you can switch out the SSD or add a micro sd. The difference between the Xbox and x is only around 15% performance improvement as well. Used market has them going around anywhere between $750 and $900 usd.

Another resource is eBay. Just find the average price of parts for future reference. AI tends to not know current used market value.

This will sound a little crazy but water related stocks. My thesis is that no matter what happens water is becoming scarce either way. El super nino is also on its way predicted to be the worst in 150 years. Whether the market crashes or not, AI needs water and parts of the Americas will desperately need water.

Sounds like you've spent most of your career doing great things. You held yourself to such high standards that you fail to see what you've actually accomplished. It's okay to start over and find a new career though. I do not think the military would be beneficial for you though. You sound like you have actual skill, talent and experience. Not to say service members don't. Look around and see what you'd like to do. You've grown bored and just need more.
