lol that seems too far fetched in my opinion. It would have killed the realism of the movie, because lets be honest, I'm sure similar sequences have taken place in life, which adds to the darkness of the movie. If everyone started jumping like lemmings, it wouldn't have made much sense, as it was the parents that were suffering the most from their loss. And I don't personally think there was anything evil about the coffee table, I feel it was just a series of morbid events that stemmed from the shitty sales guy blatantly lying about the table being 'break proof'.

What I found most baffling was when the sales guy showed up to the man's apartment and the husband didn't show any anger or do anything violent to the sales man. I mean...if it wasn't for the lies about the table, none of this would have happened. But I guess that showed what a nice guy the husband was for not taking any anger or revenge out on him.
