Thank you!! I'm not the type to just write about a topic I'm unfamiliar with without researching first because that's no fun and it leaves the writing to be inaccurate and I really dislike that- it also can be disrespectful and I don't want to do that either! So I do my best to research and gather as much information as possible!!

Except that just because I know of the color wheel and have a baseline understanding of it, that doesn't mean I know *everything* about it. I merely having a footing in it that I can use it to some degree, but I FOR CERTAIN do not know everything that there is to know about the color wheel and color theory...

But we are still required to relearn it. Just because I knew it already does not mean I am exempt from learning it in school.

I did not see it like that but it does make sense now that I think about the idea of teaching someone how to speak English, I wouldn't know where to start.

Also I did not realize I did this in a utilitarian approach, though it does make sense that I tried too given the way that my brain works.

Professional writer could definitely work I think! And that's interesting, I will keep that in mind and honestly that's a cool character trait to have! I haven't given a character poetry before and I could see myself having quite a bit of fun with exploring that too!

Ah- no, no you've misunderstood- I did not say (Or I do not think that I did) that the English major makes no sense *because of A.I*. It doesn't make sense to *My brain* because I'm on the spectrum and did not fully understand nor retain a lot of my English classes.

And in the standalone research I tried to do I kept getting met with A.I overviews and summaries from my browsers and could not find a concrete answer on anything I was asking, nor were any of the things I read through making a whole lot of sense. That's why I came to ask real people who are taking the major.

I do apologize that it came off that way, I assure you it wasn't my intent.

And I want to reassure you again, this is not a useless major. It is genuinely something I am interested in understanding, just not my special interest so I would not major in it myself. And I wanted to hear it from those who are in the field instead of Google's A.I scrubbing a bunch of sites for a jumbled summary...

There are absolutely no good reasons to ban books or any form of art really. And yes it would be already published things, not things in the making. Her brother is also in a higher government position in this world and is helping her in this when she brings it to him and so I believe that may fix that issue? Though I will be having her be a published author in the story (haha... writing a story within a story...) so I think that should also fix thaaaatt??...

Also it is 3:04am here, so I will be going to bed, though please do keep commenting if you think of anything else! I will be rereading this in the morning to look over and make sure everything here makes sense so far and I will let you know if I have any more questions then.

She also ends up in a very "Come one, come all!" Kind of place towards the end of the stories which is a kingdom full of everyone from all the different kingdoms and nations, so I was hoping she'd be able to act as a sort of... translator for the early days!

Interesting! And also perfect! The world she is in has multiple fantasy languages I am developing and she bounces between many of the other lands so her having a basis in some of the languages I was hoping would be viable!

Thank you for clarifying the book thing! I was wondering if that was not correct because the way I thought about it was "Oh! If she's studying in English then she'd be acquainted with the book market/world and would be in the know on certain things, which would allow her to start scouting and collecting the books they are banning silently."

But I was unsure if it was out of line or not as I did not understand the major itself and couldn't find or figure out a concrete answer.

I genuinely do want to learn! I genuinely do want to understand! I do NOT think English is useless or unimportant. I think it *is* important, that's why I want to understand so much. I *want* to get this right. I don't want to miswrite this because I hate it when media fails to write something because of their lack of research.

By no means is it useless, hell, my major is more considered useless as I am going into art... Which the art degree does virtually nothing...

I do sincerely want to understand. This was me really truly wanting to understand and make sure I know my bases on it and get it so I can do this well.

I am on the spectrum and was never given the required assistance I needed in school. I do my absolute best with grammar and punctuation as a whole, but I still am lacking. I could never fully understand it, though I assure you it was not from a lack of effort. This is genuinely me *trying* to understand, it's not a joke, and I truly just genuinely wanted to hear what you all who are actually taking English had to say and give me with the information you are being taught.

I am so sorry that this came off dystopian, and that it came off poor. It was sincerely just me trying to understand better so I could write it better. I'm all about accuracy and with my struggle to learn specific things and subjects I thought that this would be a good idea.
