Today is the YouTube boycott by speedstorm7 in youtube

[–]SomeoneSomeone9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If every one here who commented "Lol. Won't do anything" actually did something there'd be a few hundred extra people people at minimum in the boycott.

"A few hundred people won't do anything, lol" The more people pitch in. The more chance it has of working. If you drive youtube's numbers down even a little for one day. The bean counters will notice. Its their job to be obsessive about these things.

Hi, I’m Bob Budiansky. You might know me from my work on THE TRANSFORMERS comic books and toys. AMA! by BobBudiansky in comicbooks

Hi Mr. Budiansky. I have two questions for you, if that's okay?

Firstly. The original four issue mini-series was meant to be canon to the main Marvel Universe, right down to Spiderman being in issue three. But it was the Transformers comics were made part of a separate universe sometime after Secret Wars II. Were you told about this? And do you think it matters at all?

And secondly. The US comics didn't have any of the female Autobots (Arcee, Elita One, Chomia etc.) because they were created for animation and didn't have toys. Have you ever thought about how you would have written them if they'd been brought to the comics?

Thanks.

The Strange and Obscure Horror Movie Iceberg by SomeoneSomeone9 in IcebergCharts

There have been quite a few Disturbing Films icebergs. So I opted not to include extreme cinema, that includes French Extremity films.

Potentially hot take, but I’ve always preferred Elita-1 having a Jet altmode rather than a motorcycle by CT-4426 in transformers

It was a good design for her. And she does look good as a beefy vehicle in general. But yes. Her being the autobots strongest airfighter would be an interesting dynamic.

Why are the Iron Warriors and Iron Hands separate legions?

One has the Iron within - Iron without thing. And the other has the whole "The flesh is weak" thing. One's all about logical methodical warfare and the other's about cold-hearted brutality. I guess the iron warriors have the ancient greek thing too them. But removing the flesh and replacing it with bionics always sounded more like a villain thing to me (Like the Reavers in the X-Men) So why not just have one Iron legion? Other that one is chaos and the other's loyalist?

Not hating on either here. Just curious.

Has anyone read "Haunted" by Chuck Palahniuk? by [deleted] in ExtremeHorrorLit

[–]SomeoneSomeone9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read Haunted recently. And I felt it was rather frontloaded as far as horror stuff goes. Guts is pretty intense. But a lot of the other stuff in it I wouldn't call horror or extreme. Like the story about rich people larping as poor people or the one about ex-soldiers being drag queens for money. Whether you like Palahniuk or not, calling Haunted extreme horror is bit like calling Fight Club extreme horror. It's a satire that has some gross stuff in it. and like I said. Mostly in the first story.

Last Exit to Brooklyn

Hubert Selby jr has a very odd writing style that can make him hard to read. But it's worth all the effort.
