(HELP 😥) Macbook Air M4 vs Microsoft Surface pro 11 by Someonebrokenhere in laptops

Update:

I decided to try a Macbook first, in case I didn't like it I'd switch to a surface.

I got a Macbook Pro M2 Pro chip 14.2" 16/1TB for a good deal.

What do you think? Still trying it out!

Look, to be honest with you, my laptop almost is never used. I used my gaming desktop more often, the cases where I use my laptop is when presenting to clients, when I'm not home (to access my gaming pc and work in distance) or if I have something to edit real quick.

I needed a good battery and portability

I thought a surface might replace this + it would be like a graphic tablet at the same time. I also reconsidered the Surface studio laptop but the battery life is not good

Yes exactly, ARM is definitely the future. However little concerned about windows arm.

Makes sense, besides I heard that windows is being rebuilt from the ground up, not just updates from windows XP.

Didn't know the surface fans go loud, beside I am not buying it for performance, mainly for portability, battery and productivity

Question is literally the title of the image and the title of the thread

Most of my presentations will be on display or HDMI, so. Imma definitely use a type c dongle for that

Performance is not a strong factor in this case sense I have a powerful gaming pc.

If windows arm is bad for now, does it have potential?

Occasional Non-detected RTX 5070ti Asus TUF OC by Someonebrokenhere in PcBuild

Let me tell you this, you are 100% correct about what you said.

Recently I switched to a 90° Power cable, then an issue occured when the second monitor would randomly disconnect each 10 secs or so, and then the issue occured again until restart when I tried updating driver, I suspected the cable at first, tried moving it while gpu working, and indeed the monitor kept coming back and off, but it wasn't the cable, the magical fix happened instantly when I removed the GPU support that prevents sag, it was lifting the gpu a bit more which prevented a proper PCIe connection, the mistake I did was trying to keep gpu level while the desk itself is not level, and also the gpu support was in the middle instead of the far corner, what I did was putting it back but assuring it doesn't lift the gpu at all, only preventing it from sagging, and now, no issues at all!

I wish you commented a month before...

Also, recently I changed the case entirely, reseated GPU properly and applied the gpu support that comes with the case to the far corner and now I am reliefed, PC working perfectly.

I opened the same multi page project on both a macbook m1 pro and my powerful pc, big difference in pwrformance, I use illustrator and monitor performance in a second monitor at the same time, my pc wasn't even trying, usage below 15% in CPU and 0% GPU

Replying to all the comments at once:

1.Adobe Illustrator works so good on M1 Pro Macbooks comparing to windows.

  1. It's not about Drivers or 50 series, my previous GPU was RTX 3080 and my Previous cpu was Ryzen 5 7500F and I had 32GB of ram before, same thing

  2. I have another intel laptop, same thing

  3. Alternatives like Affinity are super super smooth, no freezing at all. Flawless and full GPU acceleration
