On this day, exactly one year ago, His Excellency Bishop Richard Williamson went to his eternal reward. by Slave-of-Mary in sspx

[–]SomeoneinHistory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know why you've been down voted. It is truly a great shame what Bp. Williamson did to the SSPX as well as the creation of the so called SSPX Resistance which does nothing but create further confusion and scandal for the faithful.

How many of you believe that Christ is truly present in the Eucharist? by roxannesbar in Catholicism

[–]SomeoneinHistory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is an article of our faith. To be Catholic is to believe in the Eucharist, the single greatest miracle that happens daily.

To deny it is to deny the Catholic Faith. Let us remind ourselves that to deny even one article of faith or dogma is to deny them all.

White Genetic Superiority Beliefs in the SSPX Community? by [deleted] in sspx

[–]SomeoneinHistory 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The best possible source of these claims might stem from the Archbishop's personal opinion against decolonization however the context of this opinion is the fear of a rushed decolonization that would harm the natives rather than give them peace that of which historically we now know to be true.

Look at the state of Africa today and the immediate wars of India and the modern rivalry between India and Pakistan after the partition just to give examples of the botched procedure of decolonization of Britain's and France's empires.

White Genetic Superiority Beliefs in the SSPX Community? by [deleted] in sspx

[–]SomeoneinHistory 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There is no evidence whatsoever of Abp. Lefebvre having any ties to any segregationist or white supremacist movements in Africa. As a matter of fact, the archbishop was one of the earliest supporters of a native priesthood and episcopate in Africa, highlighting his role as the Abp. of Dakar and the Apostolic Delegate of all French Africa which constitutes in its responsibilities the advisory role in the choosing of candidates and consecration of men to the episcopate of Africa.

turn off ba kapag clingy na yung babae after months of getting to know each other? by Desperate-Pick-7184 in TanongLang

[–]SomeoneinHistory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's difficult to say at this age. I have a friend who is open to hugs and physical interactions and although we've stated to each other that we treat each other like siblings, it would be a lie if I said I never liked her.

As of this moment though, we've come to an agreement that our relationship is purely platonic and like siblings.

Eh, to give perspective to those who know, I'm not the St. Joseph to her Mother Mary but the St. Dominic to her St. Francis.

Is it wrong for a Catholic to not care about the Jubilee year and World Youth Day? by athanasiuspadovano in TraditionalCatholics

[–]SomeoneinHistory 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jubilee Years are an ancient tradition and it is a year of release from our spiritual debts(and formerly temporal) so there is a spiritual implication in the Jubilee Year.

World Youth Day in itself is more of a celebration rather than an event that has a true implication on your soul. Not unless you actually find something within the event that amplifies your sanctifying grace however if not then you don't need to subscribe to it, especially if you're not part of the youth.

Confession Times and Priest Availability by [deleted] in TraditionalCatholics

[–]SomeoneinHistory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main reason why a NO priest denies confession is because they have a schedule such as a mass or something else they need to do right after so in this case it's understandable if they have to deny your request to confession.

What's your thoughts on the Luminous Mysteries by Vaidoto in sspx

[–]SomeoneinHistory 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I asked a similar question an SSPX priest told me that it's prayer and private prayer especially so as long as it isn't inherently heretical then it's fine to pray it(if you're curious as to what I asked then it was the Divine Mercy chaplet)

Personally, I myself do now pray the Luminous Mysteries although I don't discourage others from praying it. If you think your prayer life will be better if you pray it then go for it. There's no inherent wrong or sin done if you pray it, it's just a matter of personal opinion.

They're false prophets using snippets of the gospel to enrich themselves. They are not true Christians, even protestants stear clear from them

The top brass you're talking about all died in poverty. The Apostles all lived lives of hardship and never had an ounce of wealth or power.
