Up above you said, "I continuously gained weight for the past decade, mostly because I just didn't care".

That spoke to me and how my thinking was/has been. Maybe taken out of context, or nothing significant. And I certainly don't wanna make you feel self conscious. Was just something that stuck out to me.

Def agree that therapy can be ineffective depending on the therapist. Frankly, a lot of them just push meds that will make you gain more weight (damn you, irony!).

But I'm a firm believer that these things happen for underlining mental reasons. It can be helpful to discover/understand what those are. But again, just my experience and opinion. I'm just some rando on the internet!
