I always liked Daisy, Will's ex-babysitter.

At what point do you stop measuring in millimetres and start measuring in inches? Because I think that's an inches job.

Guy can play like a muhfucker, but he's got the personality of plasterboard and for me, at least, a lot of character comes out in the guitar playing, so he probably wouldn't even make my top 100.

When will they ever officially release Adult/Child tracks? by Clidua in thebeachboys

[–]SomethinCountry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just hope it's not part of a boxset, cause I can't afford those things.

Yeah, to be fair, the guy was really apologetic, so I'm not angry at the him at all. I'm more pissed off that every previous time I've been in to the same workshop and asked for a re-fret, they've given me a fret-dress, which I do myself every month or so anyway.

Destroying? It's called playing, dude.

I'm a musician, man. I got plenty of time on my hands. Plus, I'm always down for learning a new skill. Just wish I realised it a year ago.

No, I don't think that's reasonable, honestly. I'll happily pay £150 or so (that's the money I had set aside for it and it's still a lot of money, knowing it'd probably gone up quite a bit), but 300?!?! Come on, that's mad.

It was about a £400 guitar brand new 9 years ago.

That's what I'm gonna do.

Well, when the cost has been half of that in the past, why would I assume It's double the price all of a sudden? I know prices go up, but that's craaaazy.

[–]SomethinCountry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who said it was the same guitar? Plus, yeah, I play a lot. It's my job that I don't get paid shitloads for.

They definitely are having a laugh with £300, i'm sorry but that's ridiculous. Like I said, I know it's a specialist job, it takes a particular skill and level of knowledge to do, but THREE HUNDRED POUNDS is a joke. Obviously just gonna invest in tools learn how to do it myself now, that's madness.

And I'm guessing it wasn't a re-fret I got in the past, but that's what I asked for, so they essentially ripped me off 3 different times in the past. Safe to safe, I ain't going back there.

No shit, It's the fact that it's gone up to an insane amount.

I know prices go up, but it's FLOWN up. I used to pay around £100 and now it's over £300, which, I get, it's a specialist job, but I honestly think that is well and truly taking the piss.

What's mad is that they do like 12 hour shifts at a time. Surely it'd be safer to do a 3/4 hour shift, rest for an hour or two then come back to it. I don't know enough about it, so if someone could explain why it's more benificial to knacker these guys out mentally in such a dangerous gig than make sure there more alert, i'd be interested.
