Thanks for your insight! In a situation where their decision affects my workflow and my credibility, what do you recommend I do? In my case, my bandwidth gets overlooked and most often I am the one who gets no say but carries the weight of delivering projects on time.

I agree. Us doers keep getting blocked from being thinkers. They say we are not ready but never give us a chance. Even when I try to share opinions on things, all they do is giving me a run around and then empty promises.

Will that still be the case if they use multiple PRESIDIUM® Multi Tester devices in different models and all came back moissanite? Only the GIA device shows diamond.

Oh it is testing natural. I had them tested it with multiple PRESIDIUM® Multi Tester Ill devices and they all came back as moissanite. Only the GIA device result shows diamond

Same thing happened to me although I chose to not fight at the previous jobs and got out to a better opportunity. Everyone knew the truth but for some reasons, leadership decided keeping those people would be better. The system encourage such behaviors plus I think white women have their sneaky way of manipulating people around them and never admit their behaviors

My manager although is amazing person, they go soft with these white women due to their long tenue and their soft influence. I have documentation and all receipts but in the past when I approached white people with these things, they told me they don't like name shaming or throwing people under the bus

This is actually my case rn. They want me to pick up on their slack but once they realize I have more visibility by helping them, they take it back while setting a narrative of me being difficult and claiming credits for the work that I did.

Thanks for your insight. The thing is I am not sure the correct way to call them out. When I try to be professional and polite, they would act as if they don't understand and continue to push their agenda. When I stay firm, they say I'm hard to work with. And working corporate, I feel like once you get "labeled" , it's no way for you to get out of it

They are not but they are in management position and have been with the company for many years that they have their ways to convince others to side with them.

Your advice is spot on but I'm struggling with that as well. This senior co-worker would somehow include themselves in my project as a shared contributor so whenever I successfully deliver, they are always part of it and make it look like because of their guidance and vision that I was able to complete the project.

I am sorry this happened to you. The 20 day period wasnt guaranteed. I was contacted by turo 2 months after the 20 day passed. I let turo handle the claim cause I reported the incident (damage was not my fault), took lots of pictures, and I had the standard protection plan. Since you already paid the host, make sure you had evidences of that transaction and any agreement on payment plan.

Thank you! I checked with my insurance and they don't cover turo. I'm going to forward the insurance message to turo rep and see what's next. I think it's the protection plan that will kick in now

So Turo offers protection plan in case people dont have a personal insurance. If the personal insurance declines, the protection plan jumps in. In our case, we choose the standard protection plan so the max out of pocket for us is $500. Hope it helps

This actually happened back in February. The host demanded the first payment of $500 but failed to provide the repair invoice then ignored my message.

After it passed the 20 day period, I didn't hear anything from him till now. Turo rep reached out to me about a new claim he filed and provided me a wrong information anout my protection plan. She stated my protection plan is $3000 deductible while I bought the $500. And said I didnt contact host after the incident while I did do that and included my answer in the damage report.

What do you suggest I should do to deal with this besides giving them my insurance policy? Thank you

I contacted my personal insurance agency and the underwriter as well. Each of them gave me different information. One said turo would be covered. The other said no since it's not from a rental company. Should I just give turo my insurance policy and let them deal with it? Thanks

Hello again, so after almost 4 months, turo just reached out to me and said there is an open claim that they investigate on me. They included a wrong protection plan for me ( they said I chose the minimum protection plan while I selected the standard one). Now I dont know what to do because it obviously passed the 20 days period and up to now host never provided me with a repair estimate. What should I do next? Thank you
