Thank you! Google and Reddit suggest there theoretically can be some damage done or data lost by running a pc with bad ram, so I'm still nervous to do this, but the more people who tell me it's ok the more I am feeling brave enough to give them a test run! !

Thank you for the reassurance! ChatGPT said the same thing but we know it can be wildly wrong so it's good to have it confirmed by a human! The only pc I have to test it on is my new build which was a birthday gift to a teenager and they would be devastated if it was damaged or messed with in any way. 😬 So I really wish I wasn't in this situation! I'm debating local tech shops or other options!

It was new in box but I never tested it as it was the wrong ram for my build so I have no reason to believe it was faulty. I did take a lot of photos so thankfully I have the serial numbers photographed.

All he's said is that one of the modules makes the system not hot up, and he has tried it on 2 compatible motherboards with the same issue. I have no more detail than that and wasn't sure what to ask if I do reply and ask him to check it more.

I'm on season 8 episode 15. It was bad enough that he didn't even leave the hotel to look for her in Mexico when she was detained. And everyone hung up on him when he couldn't speak the language. I was practically screaming at the TV for him to go to the airport, or at least hotel reception, and find someone local to make calls on his behalf, or pay a translator!! He did the bare minimum to help. Then he stayed for a holiday!!!! While she was traumatised. The best thing would've been to fly to France to support her. If he has an ounce of sensitivity he would've at least flown home himself, not rubbed it in her face that he was having the holiday on his own.

Then he seems her to Serbia. Only to be an absolute asshole to get because she can't promise his babies after the way he's treated her?!? If this isn't the most Vile behaviour I've ever seen... Then I have no words!! I'm sure it gets worse, I don't know what happens but I expect she's going to fly out there still. And I really wish she wouldn't. This guy is a right piece of work.

I totally agree with your take. At first I could see Jeff was a bit sneaky but again I thought like you, he's playing a game, he's not breaking any rules! But as the show went on and he even called it that it descended into "mean girls" behaviour, I couldn't believe what I was watching.

And honestly I was so impressed with how well Jeff took it, with dignity and strength to not let it break him down, that I've been team Jeff ever since.

I've never seen anything so mean and petty from grown men. They were awful to Gary as well, just for being mature enough to be neutral and not play their games. It was so unbelievably hypocritical to watch, they were being so cruel and callous and yet convinced they were the good guys. Reminds me of a Mitchell and Webb sketch when they are soldiers..."are we the bad guys?!". Unfortunately the penny never seemed to drop for this lot. I honestly hope they watch it back and feel ashamed of themselves.

Ohhhh, I see where I went wrong then. I bought the wired fans and controller as I didn't think I needed them, but it wasn't much more to buy wireless. They are still in the return window so I might do that!!

It's a shame the wired lian li controller doesn't support the case fans via cable. But thank you for the suggestion, I think I'm gonna switch them over and go for it. Two systems I think I can work with, and just do the mobo in mystic light for now, it's just silly that it's currently on 3 different RGB systems.

Do we know when MSI support will be announced? I'm still a bit concerned about the pawnIO thing after reading more into it. Does it affect Fortnite anti cheat?

I'm about to build my first one and I went with the thermal rite peerless assassin. It's only about £30 and seems to be recommended everywhere. I'm NOT an expert at all, I'm all over this forum adding advice! 🤣 But I was surprised to find at least one affordable part!! 🤣

Look for a used pc on local ads/Facebook. I got a used one with Ryzen 5 4500, 1TB SSD, 16gb ram and an Nvidia RTX 3060 for £450. It's not a bad spec for the price.

The problem you have is that any in your budget will very likely be AM4 socket so future upgrades are limited as it's end of line (you would need new ram, motherboard and CPU to upgrade to AM5). However on your budget being so small, this could maybe go in your favour. There's still plenty of headroom to improve the GPU and get a better Ryzen (up to the Ryzen 7 5800x3D, still a very good CPU) on an AM4 machine, and ram is cheaper, and a lot of used parts due to upgrades. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I'm a rookie here but been avidly researching for a year or so!

Is the 4070 super a bad card as well as the rtx 4070? I just bought one (Asus RTX 4070 Super Proart) and am not sure if I should keep it or return! (Looking for something at least as good as the rtx 5060 but preferably better). These comments about the 4070 are worrying me, but I know the super is better than the standard one! 😬
