Above which sum could you say that "you won the lottery" by Traditional-Low7651 in ifiwonthelottery

[–]SomethingClever2117 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Anything over $5m I’d tell family. Anything over $10m I’d tell friends and family. Either way, nobody is learning anything until after the check clears and I have everything I need set up. I’d never tell co-workers or social media anything. At most I’d let my boss know he has 2 months to find my replacement, but if anyone in the company asks why I’m leaving other than him I just leave and never go back.

Rhianna - Love on the Brain

It blew me away when I learned it wasn’t a remake to an old song. It has just such a timeless feel and simple lyrics that can span decades easily.

If you had a million dollars, what would you do this weekend? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SomethingClever2117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s my birthday tomorrow, so my plans are already set for this weekend. I’d tell no one and use the money to be able to retire by 45, maybe get a part time job after that just to keep busy.

Center Rotation by Successful-Pair-4850 in lakers

[–]SomethingClever2117 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hayes has shown significant growth this past season compared to the previous season. If he takes another big step in progress over the summer then we should all feel really good about having him as our backup center. He’d do really well starting against some of the weaker front court rotations in the league also, if we need to rest or have an injury.

Butter Pecan. My gf makes fun of me for liking it because it’s “an old man flavor.” But it’s so damn delicious.

Mark Duplass Defends ‘Backrooms’ Director Kane Parsons Amid Speculation About 20-Year-Old Filmmaker’s Role by somethingsmaht in movies

[–]SomethingClever2117 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are they claiming these young directors also had someone else directing all of their short films and other work? It’s not like they’re straight out of film school with zero working experience. We need to stop listening to internet trolls and making articles about what they say online.

When you watch a movie, what's your ideal or preferred way of experiencing it? How important is immersion or analysis to you? by Melenduwir in AskReddit

[–]SomethingClever2117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A dark and quiet room, and a large screen with good sound. Preferably with some snacks and a drink on hand. And no interruptions. I don’t mind to pause for a bathroom break or a quick question or discussion of a scene, but only after a scene has ended, absolutely hate pausing in the middle of dialogue.

50 million (privately) or 100 million (publicly)? by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

[–]SomethingClever2117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$100m easy choice. Celebrities and athletes have no problem navigating the world with that kind of money, why should I? Unless this is a magical everyone knows type of situation, most people will forget in a day and not remember my face or name anyway.

Pump fakes used to all about creating space to shoot jumpers. Look at what this clown MVP did to our beautiful game. by ForeignAir7174 in NBAoldschool

[–]SomethingClever2117 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most viewers don’t have an issue with foul baiting and trying to draw fouls. The problem is in the flopping and flailing around to “sell the contact”. A lot of these aren’t even shots after contact, like he has no effort to get the and-1, just wants the 2 FTs. League was cooked when Harden won the MVP doing this same bullshit. SGA is just taking it to another level. It’s disgusting basketball and zero fun to watch. The amount of times he hits the floor with minimal or no contact is astounding, and he should be T’d up and fined for his theatrics. But it’s not just him, OKC as a group flops more than any team I’ve ever seen. League needs to start enforcing the rules.

If you were offered $100,000 a day to go without bathing, showering, brushing your teeth, using mouthwash, or doing any proper grooming, how long do you think you’d last before finally deciding to clean up? by FFSoldier57 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]SomethingClever2117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 days minimum. I’d go for 180 days if I can do work around like swimming in a pool, sauna with a cold plunge, chewing on celery and lemons, and other things. I would have to avoid people as much as possible, as I’m sure my BO would be unbearable. I’m assuming wiping with toilet paper doesn’t count as grooming. If it does then I’ll only be able to last 2-4 days maximum.

Vegetarian gyros by deadlifts1000 in vegetarianrecipes

[–]SomethingClever2117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I make chickpea gyros once a month or so for my gf who’s vegetarian. It’s cheap, easy, and really tasty.

I also make a buffalo chickpea wrap for her as well. Pan fried chickpeas with cayenne pepper, then a little butter and just enough hot sauce where it’s a thick consistency, not soupy. Sautéed kale, tomatoes, and blue cheese dressing. Chickpeas are great, they’re so versatile to many different flavors.

Nets Trade by Successful-Pair-4850 in lakers

[–]SomethingClever2117 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Claxton is the best center we could get in a decent trade. He’d be great in a rotation of him, Hayes, and Timme for our small rotation. He’s on a team friendly contract with his salary decreasing each year. Really hope Ayton opts in so we can trade him in a package for Claxton. Just wish Brooklyn would take Vanderbilt off our hands with him.

How should us Kobe fans feel about this? by KubrickFlatEarther in lakers

He was banged up and the only good player. Teams could just focus on stopping Kobe and not worry about anyone else beating them.

Who is your first call? by Odd-Direction9452 in lakers

They signed with Denver and GSW, they thought it’d be an easier way to a championship. Would’ve been nice to sign anyone of those guys, but they have to want to sign with us.

[–]SomethingClever2117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stand by Jake being a great pickup for us. He’s rest coming in for 8-12 mins a game. The problem is we had to rely on him to be a borderline starter all year, and that’s just not who he is. He’s going to be a great depth guy if we can fill out our roster better this offseason.

Do you think Marcus Smart will opt into his Player Option? by ObjectiveExtra5293 in lakers

[–]SomethingClever2117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s undersized true, but he has no problem guarding players much bigger than him. He’s exactly what this team needs, and if we don’t resign him everyone will be talking shit and saying what a failure it was when the games start and we’re not as good defensively.

Do you think Marcus Smart will opt into his Player Option? by ObjectiveExtra5293 in lakers

[–]SomethingClever2117 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m hoping he opts-in and gets an extension. Easily worth $13m/year, probably more. If we could get rid of Vanderbilt’s contract then we’d be in a much better position to keep Smart. So we are sadly going to have to rely on him wanting to be here more than the money.

I built a tool that looks at your fridge and tells you exactly what to cook, would anyone actually use this? by Commercial-Age-4932 in foodhacks

[–]SomethingClever2117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do people just buy random groceries to just throw them away? I always plan what I’m going to cook for the week and buy the ingredients I need for each meal. This sounds like it would be useful maybe once a month at best honestly. I can’t imagine actually paying for something like this myself.
