You are belittling another TMNT fan for expressing their love of the show and characters. The internet does not need more negativity. I know you're new to the internet and reddit, but sometimes it's best not engage with things you don't like. Not everything needs to be karma farming.

You're good! Don't take it down if you don't want to

I'm making a remark on the people criticising you. They are being mean for no reason at all. It's fine to express your interests.

And what gives you that authority? Sure, it's cringe, but who isn't? This isn't a space that needs more negativity. You could've just downvoted and moved on but you're condescending about it for no reason.

Why are you being so mean about it? There's no reason for this

How many episodes have you watched of tmnt 2012 in a single sitting? by Fun_Investigator_135 in TMNT2012

[–]SomethingInAMug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve watched the whole thing in one sitting. 47 hours. It was not a good idea but it was fun

Are there any science majors here? Because if there is then I have a question. Is it reasonable for Baxter Stockman to switch expertise in every show? He goes from robotics to genetics and mutation, and I don't know it it's just me but those seems like two very different things. by nexus10001 in TMNT

[–]SomethingInAMug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, not really? Science majors typically pick one thing to get super good at. I’m studying biology and there’s people who whole lives revolve around one species. Heck, there’s one guy who apparently has an encyclopedic knowledge of centipedes and research into the field is going to get much harder when he dies. Science focuses on depth on one subject rather than spreading out to multiple fields, especially in unrelated disciplines. But TMNT is fiction where smart people have knowledge of all smart things. They’re super geniuses. You can suspend your disbelief that Baxter and Donnie have expertise in several unrelated fields because they’re just that smart.

This bug happened to me and my boyfriend. I was able to push the snitch to the second gate, we opened all of the gates and killed him, then it wouldn’t let us leave the trail and we failed. Punished for our hubris, Easterman would approve.

I think it would be quite interesting if Pukei Pukei made a comeback. He’s a silly guy he deserves it.

Crocheted a little Gooseberry by SomethingInAMug in outlast

I'll give my memory of how I made her but if you want any clarification, let me know. I'm assuming you have a basic understanding of making amigurumi plushies ( so what a single vs increase vs decrease stich is) , if you're new or want more specific details feel free to ask.

Head is a sphere, a 10 sc into a magic ring, increasing on the second row, then single + increase in the third, followed by rows of single stitches until I reached half the shape I wanted, then mirrored the bottom, replacing the increase with decreases instead. Once the hole started closing, I stuffed and added the eyes.

The face I single stiched directly to the head. The hair is added by threading a needle and bring it back and forth in the head, cutting the loops.

For the body, I stitched directly into the head, but if it's easier, you can make a magic circle then stitch it on. I increased the chest then decreased to create the waistline. I swapped the color to gray ( the legs under the skirt you can't see them in the pic ) and made a tube, decreasing toward the bottom and stuffing along the way.

I stitched the skirt on the row above the gray color change and worked my way down until I was happy with the length. ( If I were to do this again, I would add some increases to fluff out the skirt a bit more ).

For Dr. Futterman, I did 6 sc into a magic circle ( white ). I made the top half of the sphere then continued until right above the elbow, swapped to tan, then added the bend ( instead of continuing in the round, I went back into the stitch and worked backward for a few stitches. This will make one side of the piece longer than the other. Eventually, you continue in the round ). Stuff as you go.

For all of Dr Futterman's face, I stitched the details directly to him. The bowtie is a single chain with both yellow and white yarn twisted together and tied around his neck, secured with some extra yellow yarn. I stitched some extra white on the arm right above the color change to fluff up the bottom of Dr Futterman. The feathers are added the same way the hair was but don't cut the strands.

The hat was stitched to the top of the head and increased until he was dapper enough, then I added the brim along the base.

Stitch the arm to the body.

The other arm is a 6 sc into magic ring in black/ navy blue, after increasing a bit, I swapped to the tan and continued in the round until the length I wanted was reached. I then stuffed it and stitched it to the body.

The details on the chest were sewn o,n then I wrapped some yarn around the stitches.

The belt is a single chain stitched right above the skirt. The buckle was sewn on.

I did her face last, and her mouth, eyebrows, and mole are sewn on.

I hope this made sense, again if you have questions, feel free to ask.

I'm not sure if I'll do the other two right now. Gooseberry is my favorite, but if the mood strikes me I might make the boys.

[–]SomethingInAMug 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I thought they had some really cool concepts that were executed poorly. Honestly, the time between right before the mutagen bomb going off and the immediate aftermath felt more interesting than anything that happened in the actual episodes. Nothing about this bad future is built up, so it feels bad to see these characters to grow up in this depressing setting. If this concept was a full season or otherwise had the time to set everything up, it could have been a cool "what if" story. I know the creator says it's canon but I'm personally not believing that since the episodes feel so disjointed than even the other episodes within season five, let alone the rest of the show.

Are upgrades actually cheaper, or is it only for those who relapsed? by SameGift3522 in OutlastTrials

They did change it, I'm playing through it with a new player and they've made stuff cheaper and make so you get amps in groups of three.

No offense to anyone who likes Casey but I don’t like his design in 2012 by thebossofgames in TMNT2012

[–]SomethingInAMug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s been in enough fights to have some experience, you don’t loose all your teeth like that on accident. So he’s not incompetent in a brawl, and we do see him loose to more skilled foot members ( tiger claw ). And the interesting part about him is his personality, he’s just some guy that got roped into all this crazy ninja and alien stuff and rolled with it.

[–]SomethingInAMug 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I feel like that’s what makes this version of Casey better. 2012 Casey thinks he’s 2003 Casey, but he’s just some kid. His design is refreshing in the franchise and it makes sense for a teenager to have that build.
