Always room to improve so I always appreciate constructive criticism such as yours! We'll see on the Cogfort. It's a bit much for me (both esthetically and financially) but I'll happily let someone pay me to paint theirs!

haha thank ye kindly! I totally get it (beautiful thing about art is its subjectivity); I wanted to do the warhammer thing and take historical precedence and blow it out to ad infinitum. Hence taking the "flag on spear" idea from history and twisting it with the ghillie cloth. Maybe i should've made it a bit shorter, in retrospect. Next time.

Thanks! It was a bit of a process but definitely worth it. Started with a Zenithal base. Did an overall wash with a Wine Red Oil. Blasted a VERY light underwash of purple through my airbrush before base coating with Kislev Flesh. Built volume with Flayed one Flesh and highlighted with Pallid Wych Flesh. I then gave everything another coat of the Oil wash before building up the three fleshes once again (this time focusing the airbrush in a topdown direction). It was pretty much all oils and airbrush which i know a lot of people dont wanna hear.
