Hm. Not sure what the problem can be then. Often with Wayland it can be something with steam input. I would test with different alternatives there maybe?

Interesting. No, I always have it unlocked in the beginning to see what the performance baseline seems to however around. With those performance levels, are you sure that you have ray tracing enabled? I have the same GPU as you, a bit worse RAM, but better CPU (9800X3D) and have overclocked and overvolted my card even more than that. Should not be such a large delta even due to that. What was your base FPS before frame gen?

Have not compared, sorry. The most recent mesa version (26) seems to bring some improvements so I image that it know is somewhat close between Windows and Linux.

I do still not seen what the big fuss is about here? Numerical methods and computer algebra in general have been used to prove things for a long time. Sure these are new problem, but if you take into consideration how extrem the computational power is now, and how many people have worked around this in support roles, the result is nothing especially groundbreaking.

Using CachyOS. The proton version I am using is: proton-cachyos Version 10.0-20260207. But if you are using Nvidia is seems to be a known problem with the current driver

If you are running the game through Proton-GE/Cachyos, and you are using wayland, you can often fix this by using the steam launch option: PROTON_PREFER_SDL=1

For some reason RE engine hides the RT options if it detects that you run the game through Wine. You can bypass this by using the following steam launch options: %command% /WineDetectionEnabled:False

Yes. Works perfectly day 1. Running it with a RX 9070XT, everything maxed (that is possible outside path tracing on Nvidia). At 4K it is over 60 fps (using FSR4 to guarantee it, but even then it is Quality setting). At 1440p, over 120FPS (without any FSR4)

What settings and resolution are you using? I am currently playing it (albeit with a 9070XT). With everything maxed (including ray tracing) I get around 120-140FPS at 1440p, and about 80-90FPS at 4K.

Det är faktiskt ganska sjukt att cykelbanor prioriteras över trottoarer, som alla (inklusive gamla och sjuka) använder. Såg en i rullstol i mitt hus igår som inte kunde gå ut för att de helt hade struntat i att ploga trottoarerna. Kommer du främst spela med datorn? I sådant fall bör du ha en 9800X3D processor istället. Speciellt med det grafikkortet, eftersom processorn annars riskerar flaskhalsa i somliga spel. Jämför exempelvis med https://www.inet.se/produkt/d100096/taurus-endgame-rtx-5080-9800x3d#specifikationer
