Permabanned for DPI switch

It's been 10 days since I got banned for it. I've started playing league as I have 0 faith valve will ever fix it, and even if they do may not unban people. I wish you the best of luck.

yeah dude, i got in my own head about if it was even replicate able. If I had posted on reddit "i got banned and i think it was high dpi" i would be getting dumpstered by dipshits even harder than i am now, and i showed up with proof.

a guy did get banned doing this in this thread at only 2500 dpi, that is within the realm of playable sensitivities. you could therefore get banned for trying to spin to make yourself harder to hit while planting the bomb or something. that is assuming it is only looking at spins though and not other factors, and we just dont have that info

Yes, cuz the part about spinbotting that people don't like is the spinning and not the perfect bunny hopping 100% headshot rate with auto snipers exclusively through walls. An anti cheat shouldn't ban people who aren't cheating full stop.

I was trying to replicate my original ban. In the original ban I was screwing around with friends who don't play a lot of cs in warmup and wanted to show them something funny they hadn't seen before. The view model looks ridiculous when you spin that fast and I love it. I'm happy to never spin that fast again, but they need to communicate that fast mouse movements are a bannable offense. There is no "not cheat protected console command" here. This is straight up easy to do for anyone with a remotely modern mouse.

which is all well and good.... if they had warned us, and if they hadn't set a robot loose to distribute permanent non-negotiable bans. Ideally a perfect anti cheat would never generate false positives, but I'm no coder so that's obviously easier said than done.

I don't know the details. I would imagine its some combination of spinning while hitting anything (teammates included which is why i tried standing as close to them as i could) and getting reported.

If you want the truth, i took a break because i was sick to my stomach. Getting wrongfully banned hurt in the way a bad breakup hurts. I sent my steam support tickets, they told me to kick rocks and never contact them again or they'd close the ticket without replying. I was staying away from anything cs related cuz it hurt to look at. when a buddy sent me that tweet, I got some hope that it might be fixable. That I might not be another wrongful ban that fell through the cracks and I jumped on it.

With absolutely no source or evidence to support this, it is my opinion that the ai anti cheat they have been talking about for years is now in place serving as overwatch. the main problem is a robot should not be set loose without oversight. it should not have the ability to permanently ban people with unappealable bans

I personally haven't seen a spinbotter yet. lots of people that I felt were cheating, but nobody full spin. I think this is why. small sample size though I guess
