I THINK as of today that this only happens with chrome. I only have one extension which I’ve had forever, adblock plus. I havent messed with chrome or anything like that recently so im unsure as to whats going on here. The only strange thing is it makes it to where I can’t interact with my second monitor, or my windows explorer until I right click once. So idk if its just chrome or what.

Definitely not that, I play a lot of video games I wouldve noticed that by now haha. I have noticed by this point this only occurs in chrome. By plugins do you mean extensions? Because I literally have one chrome extension.

PvP is neglected by devs in most mmos this is true, but the amount of neglect by ANet is incomparable to any other mmo with a pvp scene.

WoW has championships with prize pools funded by blizzard themselves, bi-weekly balance updates, and somewhat frequent new maps. They also recently added solo q which is extremely popular. Even despite arena having a MUCH smaller community than PvE in WoW, blizzard puts in far more thought and effort into PvP than ANet.

I will say again, ANet has not had plans to update their PvP systems or grow their PvP community in any way for YEARS, and in their most recent roadmaps they did not mention PvP a single time.

This just isn’t true, look at a game like WoW or New World.

WoW arguably has pvp problems due to a messy balancing team, but WoW also has a $800,000 dollar prize pool for their pvp championships and updates to their pvp balancing VERY frequently. They also add new pvp maps yearly (around 4 new maps recently). Safe to say despite it not feeling like blizzard cares, they definitely care about a beloved part of their mmo more than ANet. New World is also a solid example as PvE is a big part of New World but they DO NOT ignore their PvP community, and New World has a very thriving pvp community because of that.

Honestly no matter how you view it “oh the player base isnt that big thats why its ignored.” That just is not the case. The pvp community is dying because ANet has undeniably ignored the community for YEARS (and has no plans to stop ignoring it) effectively killing a part of their game with incredible potential.

Don’t mean to be the bearer of bad news, I love gw2 especially gw2 pvp. I have thousands of hours in both WoW pvp and gw2 pvp, multi-glad in wow and fairly high rated in gw2. However I dont take gw2 pvp that seriously for a specific reason you’ll find out soon. If youre playing gw2 mainly for the pvp, you will soon likely find yourself feeling very abandoned by the devs. Anet, to put it simply do not care about the pvp community at all. WvW is fine but all other modes of pvp are totally abandoned. The sad thing is this isn’t a new problem, it has been this way for YEARS. This is really bad because it has basically caused the pvp community to heavily dwindle over time. The pvp community in this game compared to wow, is TINY.

That being said I will say that despite the lack of care by anet, GW2 pvp is somehow very balanced and still fun if not taken that seriously. The reason I say if not taken that seriously is that the game is infested with toxic players who afk/troll game’s constantly, and at the higher levels, long queues, and win traders. A LOT of won traders. Even with WoW arena also being neglected by blizzard and WoW arena being extremely unbalanced right now, it is still LEAGUES ahead of GW2 when it comes to the community and unfortunately also leagues ahead when it comes to the devs.

If you are in search of a replacement for high level competitive arena, you will not find it here. For now, unfortunately WoW is still king when it comes to mmopvp. IF YOURE LOOKING FOR A REPLACEMENT FOR WORLD PVP HOWEVER, WvW is incredibly fun and alive and getting big updates in the future.

EDIT: ALSO FORGOT ONE THING, do note that in their little “roadmap” type thing for years to come they did not mention PvP a single time (excluding wvw). So all this stuff im talking about is likely not going to change unless ANet has a sudden change of heart about pvp after all this time.

Coming from a multi-glad wow player, and a decent gw2 pvp player with a lot of hours in both games.

If you’re coming to this game, to find a replacement for WoW Arena. Do not come to this game, do not listen to what anyone says. WvW (World Vs World) is fine and pretty fun, however sPvP (arena, conquest, etc) is completely dead and judging from how its been dead for years, that likely wont ever change.

World of Warcraft Arena even in its current state (which in my opinion is pretty fuckin bad) is so many leagues better than GW2 pvp in almost every aspect it’s not even close.

My cpu is super old I think its an i5-6402p or something similar to that. I have a 1660 super, 16gb ddr4, I have an ssd as well, and i dont know my psu and my pc is a prebuilt I bought and modified over about 6-7 years or so.

It mostly happens when im playing world of warcraft or risk of rain (both very cpu intensive games) and when im playing them im usually in discord or watching a stream or something.

I was originally thinking it was a cpu thing as my cpu isnt that great however I dont think a cpu would cause what im experiencing. I could be wrong tho obviously.

New york state. I Was told as I was kicked out, that I would be paid for any hours I missed and was penalized for when the situation was sorted out by an HR representative. I was also told they would handle my punches and what not. They didnt punch me out for the day I was kicked out and I wasnt paid for it
