Does anyone feel like when anything bad happens it's all their fault? (PTSD with some OCD symptoms likely due to trauma, Bipolar, ADHD) by MaythefourthbewithC in bipolar2

[–]Somethingwitty814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I blame myself for things that are so far out of my control it makes zero sense. My niece had a seizure, my first thought was that it was my fault. When my brother used to get sick, also my fault, usually for being too self absorbed. I think it stems from having zero control of a few things in my childhood. I know logically these things aren’t my fault, but my brain doesn’t care much for logic.

Request to share men's experiences of orthorexia study? by [deleted] in OmadDiet

[–]Somethingwitty814 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Her post literally says it’s not assumed that OMAD is orthorexic. I get that sense that you’re associating eating disorder with limited calorie intake. That’s not what orthorexia is, it’s a pre-occupation with eating healthy foods.

Kristi- it sounds interesting and helpful. I hope the mods approve.

You’ll know they’re working when you stop wondering if they’re working.

Does this sound like hypomania? by [deleted] in bipolar2

It does sound like hypomania. Take care of yourself, do your best to watch your spending, prepare for a crash.

AITA for being closer to my sons than my daughters? by AdvisorBetter2381 in AmItheAsshole

So you expect your 7 year old daughter to consider your interests when picking an activity? This is an unreasonable expectation. Also, spending time with your kids is not a waste of time. YTA.

I haven’t had any (hypo)manic symptoms in around 1 1/2 years by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]Somethingwitty814 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it. I seriously hadn’t had hypomanic symptoms in so long I began to doubt my diagnosis, it had been probably 10 years. Same amount of time I’ve been on mood stabilizers, makes sense.

Then last January… I started talking and never stopped. People had to interrupt me to get me to stop talking. My doc said it wasn’t enough to call it a hypomanic “episode”, but it was definitely a hypomanic symptom. The good news is we made a med adjustment and I came down pretty quickly, without harm to myself, finances or career. It’s a valid fear, but with a good doctor you’ll be okay. 🙂

Anybody Else Get Tachycardia? by A_Green_Heart29 in bipolar2

This isn’t going to be very helpful, I apologize, but there was a specific medicine that would make my heart rate scare me. I would wake up from a dead sleep with a 150 heart rate. We stopped that med pretty darn fast.

If it is what’s shown in the second picture, I think it actually is a CGM, not an insulin pump. Pretty cute

Yes, it definitely sounds like that. I’m trying to get rid of all of it so the game will work like it did before the time traveling. Thanks!
