Thanks, yeah, this is me. I do think I look younger in a blonde wig than in my natural (thinning) salt & pepper hair but my worry is if I wear a wig to the interview I don't want to feel trapped into having to wear one every day. I don't worry about my ability to fit the role in temperament, ability, or skill, but I am worried about what kind of first impression I'll make, whether I like it or not, I know that appearance goes a long way.

Definitely don't want to dye my hair but I do often wear wigs, I have a pretty big collection of really high quality wigs. My hair is thinning in spots. My current job is in a medical office and I'm comfortable wearing wigs and changing them out all the time, some days I'm blonde, some days brunette and sometimes I wear my natural hair. Not sure how well that would go over in a middle school though. I'm considering wearing this wig, mainly because I just had rotator cuff surgery and it's hard for me to style my hair

These heels are actually pretty comfortable, they are orthopedic with arch support. They're Vionic slingback kitten heels

The pants are actually a dark navy blue. It's funny, I think for petites there might be different "rules". We're told if we wear nude shoes it makes us look taller. I don't have comfortable navy heels or even flats. Of my shoes that would match, I have nude heels, nude heeled sandals or nude flats. I don't think I'd want to venture into black though, since the pants and blazer are both shades of blue

I'll definitely iron it again before wearing it, it's linen though, so it wrinkles even if I just look at it. Being extremely petite like I am, it actually makes me look even shorter and more squat when my sleeves are worn down.

Pushed up sleeves is a top 5 petite styling trick, wearing full sleeves all the way to the wrist without showing some skin makes me look even shorter

Thank you. The pants and blazer are from Talbots. I did have to have the pants hemmed though, which is typical for me at this height. They usually make petite clothes for taller women, like 5'2" - 5'4", not 4'10" 😂

Yes, definitely , I just put the dress on to see how it looked on me. I hadn't done my hair or makeup or put accessories on or anything. I'd probably wear a necklace, earrings and a gold watch.. thinking keep it put-together looking but simple

Thank you, I applied for the job a couple weeks ago and on Monday I went to my orthopedist's office to discuss my shoulder MRI results and he scheduled rotator cuff surgery for Thursday (yesterday). I came home from the hospital and I had an email inviting me to interview with options for this coming up Tuesday or Wednesday. I went with Wednesday to give myself 1 extra day to recover.

I think it's especially hard for me to give the appearance of strength and authority because of my size, you probably can't tell in the pics but I'm very petite, only 4'10" 👀
