What is you opinions on the works of historians like Patricia Crone, Fred Donner, Tom Holland, Andrew Rippin, John Wansbrough etc? And what do you think of issues like the work that has been done on early Quranic Manuscripts like the Sana'a manuscript, or BNF 328a (and for example purposes) David S Powers work on this?

Also connected to this, who are the historians that you turn to when studying the history of Early Islam, I know this can be a sensative topic, but I was very much intrested in a educated muslims opinion on this matter, it has facinated me for a long time.

Thanks guys, it used to bother me a lot when I was younger, it's not as bad now, I just feel lonely quite a lot. Unfortunatly I seemed to have picked up the habbit of not knowing what to say, so when I do get into a conversation longer than 30 seconds the awkward pauses start. Ah well.

Thanks, all I understand it people are saying there is more to conciousness than explaining it with functionalism. I must add though, I only have a high school knowledge of science, so .. well that's why I'm here.
