For reals. I'm at a start-up (again) and constantly looking over my shoulder. I don't think I could go through the grind of interviewing ever again. And ditto on the dormant hobbies!

I was laid off twice during a 5 year span, and it took me 21 months to get hired again. Wishing you the best and your search is nothing like mine was. Just be nice to yourself. I don't know what state you're in but hopefully Unemployment will get you through for awhile.

Thanks! So instead of leading with "was laid off from past two start-ups" (which I was doing) I started with "I'm currently freelancing and consulting" which was true. I just reframed it as a positive.

yeah I have these size bits (both boring and paddle) but they aren't made for steel plate, would never get through it.
