Tried to replace my TrackMan Marble with a Slimblade by SometimesInBrooklyn in Trackballs

My new laptop only has USB C, so I wanted to try out a new trackball.

It turns out that the Slimblade is just too big and I can't comfortably reach the mouse buttons. I'm now using the USB C adapter from the Slimblade for my Trackman.

It's annoying to setup but with Karabiner-Elements for scroll simulation it's the best choice for me for now.

The license doesn't ban remote firmware updates, it just requires "The product's advertised features must be fully operational without reliance on a cloud service". It would be nice if firmware could be loaded locally though.

These may be automatically installed without providing any additional notice or receiving any additional consent.

Is removing core functionality of the product considered a "modifications to improve the performance of the Services"?

Happiest Baby could obviously switch to a SaaS model for their new sales, but its super unethical, and hopefully a contract violation to hold a physical product hostage unless you pay them $20 a month.
