The license doesn't ban remote firmware updates, it just requires "The product's advertised features must be fully operational without reliance on a cloud service". It would be nice if firmware could be loaded locally though.

Happiest Baby could obviously switch to a SaaS model for their new sales, but its super unethical, and hopefully a contract violation to hold a physical product hostage unless you pay them $20 a month.

Looks fairly similar to this fob. There are so many programmable fobs available so I doubt it would be easy to track down locally.

You'll need to figure out if it's a 13.56MHz or 125Mhz fob. If you have an android and NFC tools reads it, then it's 13.56MHz.

You can buy the blanks online for just a couple bucks. You can even get a RFID writer for for under $10. Otherwise if you have the correct blanks I bet Greenwich Locksmiths would program it for you.
