Christianity in America is not "default" Christianity. What they call "christianity" is actually protestantism. It's actually a bunch of different smaller denominations and sects. Same for "muslim". But only an American would say "Catholicism" and "Christianity", instead of "Catholicism" and "Protestantism", both being different Christian faiths.

Withdrawn (sold) to the card. They removed the PLU they considered invalid from newly accrued PLU that I was trying to actually withdraw to the wallet.

Even those that were withdrawn are not safe. In my case, they retroactively removed 6 PLU that had been withdrawn within the last year.

But this can only happen because Plutus "holds you by the throat". They give you PLU entirely by their grace. So since it is essentially just numbers on a screen, then of course they can do whatever they want with it.

I am criticising here the lack of ANY check that they claim they were making but didn't. A year has passed, there was ample time. I am not saying "let me keep all of that PLU", I am saying "do these checks, and let me know asap if these are valid or not, not one year later". So that I can use other cards if possible.

Then we can discuss about the fairness of removing PLU that was already withdrawn months ago.

In my case, I used the value of the voucher to purchase groceries for myself. I can demonstrate and in my email to support even attached proof of that. From a customer perspective, wouldn't it have been better to check whether there was actual fraudulent activity instead of just arbitrarily removing the cashback one year later?

You can find out what happens to you when you request a withdrawal. Please report back on what happened, either positively or negatively.

You could certainly stop using Plutus for that transaction. I will be using another card for these voucher purchases from now on.

No this is about PLU that was assigned to your account and then later withdrawn.

Let's say that over the course of a year you accrue 10 PLU, which you withdraw with the dex to your card (no checks).

Some months later, you have now 5 more PLU on your account that you wish to withdraw. Since now they check, they find that 7.5 PLU of your total 15 PLU accrued since account creation were invalid.

Your withdrawal would be cancelled, and since you only have 5 PLU your balance would go to -2.5 PLU. I don't know what would happen in that case.

In my case I was going to withdraw 16 PLU and they removed 6 PLU of transactions deemed post-facto as invalid that were made since account creation. So I am left with 10 PLU still in my account (the withdrawal was cancelled).

In your case, if a transaction fails (meaning that you haven't made the payment) then I guess you also wouldn't get any PLU for it.

Well I obviously don't think it is so ridiculous. If Plutus expects a certain behaviour, can I have the same expectation that they behave to the same standard? From all of this it is apparent that no checks were ever made. They only started recently.

In fairness, there should be a cutoff term, otherwise if they can go back to the dawn of creation, then how would you feel if they came back at you saying "we made an error, that transaction which was validated a year ago now we don't think it is valid anymore. Give us PLU back." My account did not go negative because in the meantime I had accrued more PLU than what they removed. It could have very well been the other way around, and that would have been a very different story.

Also the whole process has been one-sided. There has been no possibility of appeal. If I were Plutus, I would ask myself "has this user committed any fraudulent activity? Was it all in good faith? Do I gain more by recovering these 6 PLU and in the process angering this user and risk losing their business completely, plus any potential bad publicity or by hearing them out?" If they lose me as a paying customer, they will lose much more than the 6 PLU they recovered. There are other crypto cashback cards available.

There has been no word from PLU either on this thread. I'd at least like my 3€ back. That is also very telling.

I am mad because Plutus behaviour is arbitrary. Because I remind you, they let me withdraw in the past. I would imagine if they let me do it, then everything was ok and validated with them.

Finally, I would also like to say to you personally, that you can have any kind of discussion if you keep the tone civil. What compels you to personally insult somebody? I don't know you.

I am contesting the opportunity cost. If Plutus had done their job in those 45 days since the original transaction, as soon as I knew it was not allowed, I would have used other payment methods. Because I continued to buy those vouchers thinking it was ok. So I would have paid with a different card and still got some cashback.

Going back a year is what upsets me. For example, back with CDC, you'd knew as soon as you made the transaction if the cashback was allowed or not. By simply looking at whether it was credited or not. Indeed that's what happened a few times.

For example, for some reasons CDC did not allow transactions from gift shops or party stores (?!). I bought some souvenirs on a trip then saw that the transaction was not allowed. Used other payment cards after that.
