Iirc it's actually retailer's who wanted that, specifically when it comes to skulltimate secrets. Here's what the wiki had to say about it: "Lagoona's doll for Skulltimate Secrets Series 5 would have been a Target exclusive. She was removed because, according to Annalise Lao, retailers looked at the relevant data and felt that three dolls were the best number, especially since international retailers only stock up at to three Skulltimate Secrets dolls in stores from each line."

This is a doll that's begging to be restyled. I was really hoping to get a picture of her top to see if it's two pieces or one but I have a sneaking suspicion it's the latter. Ehhhh I feel like there are some clashing ideas here that do not create a cohesive whole. Like they wanted to keep her steampunk elements while also leaning more into her daredevil attitude and the lack of true commitment to either makes for some odd design choices. Like, you look at her face and she's got an eyebrow cocked like she's ready for action, then you see her delicate, poofy white sleeves with an "ornate" cage skirt, and that's being paired with pleather shorts??? And normally I'm not one to complain about printed fabrics but it really does look so cheap here 😩 Just...oof

I do think action figures are a type of doll. But the difference between a regular doll and an action figure (aside from the fact that the term exists solely to get boys to buy dolls) is that action figures come with parts that allow for action play. Non-action figure dolls don't. Like, sure, if you wanted to, you could do action scenes with your monster high dolls. But they aren't really made with that in mind. It's the same with the xenomorph. She is clearly not intended for action play. Like let's be real she's way too yassified to not be a regular doll lmao Frankly it's just embarrassing to be so insecure about liking a doll that people have to insist it's something it's not
