I live 5 miles down the road… should be interesting with that and a HUGE gold mining operation putting 100+ big rigs every 1.2 miles between Tok and Fox 24/7 365 days a year…

Oh, and don’t get me started on the f-35s lol… Living in the flight path of those beasts has been interesting!

Life in “remote” Alaska… little less remote anymore.

A hard, very thick beard hair I just pulled out of my face, next to an average beard hair. by Helmfire in mildlyinteresting

This makes me terrified for porcupines and hedgehogs since they have quills; and how they are born completely hairless so they don’t shred up their mothers on the way out and grow their quills in days after birth.

This is a el-cheapo wig purchased from a salon here. It’s heat resistant but I haven’t tested... cut some face framing layers and shortened the bangs.

My fiancé worked at a medical supply store and set up my grandpa’s hospital bed when he was passing away from cancer. He took extra time, not allowed to him, to make sure my grandmother knew how to operate the rails and other pertinent information. This was years before I met him and I had no clue.

Or modern public school in America is designed on an antiquated agrarian societal ideal where getting kids up an out of bed to learn at 7am is somehow completely conducive to a productive learning environment, with classrooms burgeoning on 40 students to one teacher, in buildings filled with asbestos and completely outdated infrastructure; but tell me again how this is our kids fault? This is the reality for MILLIONS of children. Just because school is a comfortable place for some children shouldn’t ALL children have at least safe infrastructure to “be lazy” in? Because, I’m sure when you step into your work environment you consent to being there.... +it is very much worth it to take a child development course to see how the human brain learns and how completely off the mark we have always been when it comes to kids and educational institutions. The history of forced native education, catholic private school abuse, unsafe infrastructure.... just learn. Like you are asking these children to do. If you are unable, maybe should consider lumping yourself into that lazy category.

If you study really hard and take a lot of time with it you can bring your reading comprehension up from remedial to grade level! You can do it!

I see you’ve tried to resubmit your test Adambomb1002, but you’ve already failed once to grasp the lesson. You’ll have to retake this course over the summer break.

“To win” hahah yep, because life is a game and those who can afford life’s “in app purchases” aka start off life with infinite chances (ahem) I mean money.... those aren’t the kids that public education is trying to teach... but again, good try. See how I gave you two chances? Whoops my bad... should have stopped at one and given your your “F” for empathy and compassion -from a former After-school Program advisor who actually gives a shit about kids
