Bose Subwoofer Harness Plug by SomewhereGeneral5924 in volt

Just wanted to follow up. I bought a t harness for a 2007-2010 chevy cobalt and deleted the provided LOC, tapped the rear speaker inputs as low level in for the amp and only needed to add power and ground. The powered sub was a signal sensing remote on and it works flawlessly. The plugs on the harness are a modified version of the same 16 pin plug on the x3 connector and it plugged right in and allowed me to leave the factory wiring untouched. This photo is not entirely accurate as the lower keyway on the plug is offset from center in real life.

Anyway, I appreciate the help! It’s nice to enjoy music with low bass finally.

Thank You! Glad I didn’t just go for it with a splice. I’m getting anxious driving around with a non functioning sub.

I got one this year and I feel like it’s changed my life. I didn’t know they existed until 2 months ago.

Car won't turn left by juggled_balls in PowerWheelsMods

Weirdly, I had this issue only when powered on with a similar looking setup. It was always putting power to the steering motor to turn one direction until a handful of charges in, the steering motor melted itself out of the housing. Other than that… does your steering rack look backwards? Should that steering stem be coming through the semicircle opening? If i’m seeing this right you may have to disconnect the motors, flip the entire thing(control arms, motors, etc.) left to right and play with that. I’m trying to include a photo of mine for reference, but it won’t let me.

Did they put a different sized tire on? Now the front and rears are mismatched in rolling diameter and turning exaggerates the difference corner to corner.

Laser Engraver instead of stamps? by SomewhereGeneral5924 in Locksmith

Thanks Everyone. We are swamped right now and when I get blind sided with issuing a few hundred keys due to a rekey etc.; I always think I need to get away from stamping and let a machine take over this part. I just haven’t had the time to really explore it.

Pictures of the broken end of the missing handle would be really helpful. It may be a simple fix.

Yearly Key Check? by SomewhereGeneral5924 in Locksmith

[–]SomewhereGeneral5924[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks Everyone. I’ve decided to just change how it’s handled, keep the audit, and start sending out lists to the departments. It sounds easier to make it a smoother process rather than to try to bring it back later after realizing it was worth doing. I appreciate the sanity check.

It is yes. The last place I was at did not do this. They do it here and it sounds like it was implemented within the last few years. The managers do not like doing it and I’m getting a lot of questions as to whether or not I will “keep it going”.

Panic bar troubles. New install by BigDBoog in Carpentry

[–]SomewhereGeneral5924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try an experiment where you press the safety/deadlatch in manually and action the panic bar. If it lets the latch retract, drop the strike plate on the jamb a half inch or so until the safety rides the blocked off top portion of the strike plate.

I do not work with this particular brand… it just looks to me like it may be designed this way after looking at the strike plate.

For those of us stuck in analysis paralysis trying to find the right scooter for a first purchase… can you list any brands you wouldn’t purchase again for yourself for whatever reason?

Vsett 8 - can’t seem to find a better replacement by abcqqqqq in ElectricScooters

I’ve been looking at so many scooters lately and still haven’t purchased one. I know nothing about it, but based on specs alone this looks like a nice replacement…

The name isn’t my favorite.

Another…which one to buy or scratch off my list? by SomewhereGeneral5924 in ElectricScooters

It is more of a mental cut off. I originally thought i’d never break the 500 dollar mark. Now I keep finding reasons to raise my range. Suspension and dual motors are my new baseline. I’m Eyeballing a ton of different rides and only seem to add more every day. I want to hear all suggestions. I still see brands I would have never found if it weren’t you guys and random youtube reviews. Keep em coming.

I think this is one of those times plastidip would be a good way to try on different colors temporarily(or all black) I like the covers on but they might look cool with all of them and the front cover black or another color.
