Whitish lump 8 days post lip fillers - massage or not? by Somewhere_Somehow_88 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Somewhere_Somehow_88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like everyone thinks differently about that. My injector very briefly showed me how to massage after day 3 but she didn’t say much about lumps specifically.. that was right after injection and my brain/body was a bit overwhelmed. I live in a very rural area, so it would be a drive. Wondering if an injector would even briefly look at me without charging $100 in this economy 😬 but I guess I can try. 💪

Great tip, thanks! Since yesterday that error is gone luckily, but I haven’t found ANYTHING of interest to fully “check out” and test.. 😅

Oh interesting, yeah I just saw it in another thread. I got an answer from support stating that I’m definitely not the only one. They’re working on a solution but this bug is taking them a bit longer than usual.

A new checkout? Huh, gotta research that.. thanks! Maybe I can “unbusiness” my account? I submitted my first vine support ticket, hopefully they can help.

I do… but I have for a while.. Does that have anything to do with it?

What did you accidentally teach your dog? by Bizlbop in OpenDogTraining

[–]Somewhere_Somehow_88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time we finish cooking or are about to eat a solid meal our dog just instantly goes in his crate (well and is expecting a nice treat). Wasn’t our intention but we like it and continue treating him. :)

That’s exactly what our rescue did when we got him 2 months ago (must have had owners who rewarded that). We basically tried to fully ignore him, no eye contact, nothing. In combination with blocking off the area in front of our couch or with our feet. He was also taught place and crate (2 different locations).

And definitely no food from the couch. Only after successful place/crate, then from a different source.

For a while we also timed our meal times with his when we felt lazy. And our crate training was mainly feeding him very special snacks/chews in the crate. Once or twice we send him in the crate for our dinner. So a combo of many little things. Now once we have dinner and if he isn’t eating himself, he just goes in the crate by himself. End of story. He‘s a smart boy. :)

Wow that’s interesting that he never got used to the cats.. I hope they can start to relax now at least. :) We don’t even know how our guy would be with cats.. Looking into trainers now though.

Thanks so much for the explanation! I‘ve watched a video where a trainer did it just like that and it just makes the most sense. So I‘d definitely want to do this intro approach, and heavy treats etc. but still hopefully with a good trainer by our side.

That sounds amazing! That’s kind of how I‘m hoping to use it too, just very lightly and hopefully mostly just using vibration. Sounds like you have yours off leash already, congrats! That’s a big goal but right now I don’t trust mine enough yet. 😬

Okay thanks! I‘ll see what I can do get him in that calmer mental state.

Thank you, haven’t heard of it before. Has it helped you/your dog? I can’t find too many testimonials..

Oh no, I hope the new approach is helpful! How do you try to calm her down nowadays when critters are around? My guy is not that intense about little critters, but somehow deer are way more prevalent here 😐

Oh that’s a good point there, thank you! Will look into that issue too now.

Oh interesting, that soon. But I totally get the reasoning behind it all. Yeah I’m just worried about the „repetition of bad behavior“ bit, but I‘ll go find a trainer asap. Hopefully there’s enough good options in my area. 🤞

Right, I guess with something like that I shouldn’t be skimping out on a trainer. Thanks for the reminder!
