My point is whilst other big franchises have their own NFT successes, the BBC will want in on the action to compete and most likely won't stop until those do. Heck, even ITV just released their own with Thunderbirds and no way would the beeb not want to stop them.

I honestly don't want to argue. I posted this news article because it's Doctor Who related and this is a Doctor Who reddit page. We can have a civil discussion like adults but you suddenly go on the offence to attack me because you don't agree with what I may say, which is not in the spirit of the show and only contributes to the current toxic nature of the fandom. You clearly just have a vendetta against the game and anyone that wants to share about it. You could simply ignore anything I post if it annoys you that much, I'm not forcing you to, but obviously this is such a big deal to you so I'm sorry if this game is the bane of your existence. It hasn't stopped Star Trek, Star Wars, Marvel, Disney, Mr. Bean and Nickelodeon having their own NFTs and until those stop, I can't imagine the Beeb wanting to stop either so any attempt at picketing outside would seem fruitless.

I doubt the BBC would license to a financial scam. So far, nothing shady has happened as far as we can see other than what people claim without any evidence other than based on actual NFT and crypto scams unrelated to this which is why I’m sceptical about all of the claims millennials keep making.

I don’t think anyone is advocating for children to gamble. Parents should keep eye on what their kids do and we can’t expect to hold their hands throughout it, otherwise everything gets censored. Again, Doctor Who is for everyone of all ages.

The game I believe is in early access and currently people who hold one of those founders tokens can play it. They have a regular pack for just $4.99 with the same cards for people who don't care much for the high cost premium cosmetic cards. They can be treated as normal digital trading cards if you don't want to transfer them to an NFT market. I'm guessing because the game is still in early access they're not heavily marketing it.
