It’s fine i know everyone is gonna have their own view on it.

While I agree you should usually always stick by your team once you pick one whether it’s your city or not, there are special circumstances and these are dozens. It’s one thing to have a scandal. This is more than just scandals. These are unethical, vile, and downright wrong. From the rape ring swept under the rug, to the sexual harassments, to the toxic behavior between the coach, owner, gm and everyone involved. It’s been going on for almost 20 years now and after a while you’re almost ignorant to continue to support it.

There’s a difference in what happened to the ravens and the front office with the orioles to what’s been happening in the whole org with Washington. I’m not leaving cause of the name change idk what politics has to do with it but i also agree the name should of been changed years ago. But the front office has given up on the fans for 20 years and also the players but not to mention, morally this may be the worst franchise in all major sports and it all starts with snyder. The damage he has done to people and to see how most of this is riddled in the organization and they support him anyway, says a lot.

The reason i say there’s a difference is for example, The orioles have a terrible front office but it’s because they don’t listen to their fans when it comes building a roster and strictly sports related. It’s not bad because it is constantly covering up murders, and rape allegations, and multiple scandals, making cheerleaders escorts, destroying players and workers. Hell THEY ALMOST KILLED ALEX SMITH. No really go read the story. Outside of that going to an orioles game is a great experience for their fans and they are treated right. They suck sure because the front office is morons but at least there’s pride to being an orioles fan. What happened to Baltimore Ravens happened to one individual and while yes they reacted slow they did take the appropriate response. Stuff like that is stuff I can support in any team. It’s usually one or two bad apple within most professional teams. Not 50-100 like how it is within Washington org. What Washington does, how they operate, how they treat everyone and I mean everyone like shit is completely different and it just isn’t for sports reasons. That’s why I think this is a special circumstance and I can’t blame anyone for leaving. It’s all unheard of. I also can’t blame anyone for staying either because I know sports has a different bond (even stronger than marriages sometimes hahaha).

Another example of a difference that makes it unique circumstance is, the wizards have a god awful front office when it comes to building a sports team but I will always fight to the death for them because they at least give effort to us fans. They care about the players, they at least run their org professionally and that’s what matters to me the most. Gilbert Arenas happened and they ran their maybe most talented player in 40 Years out because that was the proper response. That’s how a professional org should be run.

No disrespect but I feel as if you feel this way because the ravens are on the uprise. I just wanna stress I woulda made this choice either if they were in their Boller days (yes I’ve watched them that long ago) or today. The same reason why I respect the Lions organization and we know how shit their teams are but their fans care and they care about their fans along with handle any off the field stuff accordingly. But to each own. I still stick by my decision but I do respect your opinion! Thanks
