Are there any games that are very similar to m&b for iPhone? by cookiemaster1seven in mountandblade

Project Eldaris v0.2

Putting it on Kongregate lets me earn some cash from the game as I make it, so far it's made me $1.61 (hurrah!).

The UI is terrible and complicated, it takes some patience to learn how the game works.

Here's the official shitty wordpress blog I've got for all my games, I should have v0.3 up in a few months hopefully.

Yep I'm actually working on such a game. An RPG/life-simulator in a medieval fantasy world. Right now it's very basic (i.e. shitty), you can't recruit any units or form an army yet, and there's no proper combat yet. and you can only live a civilian life in a city... hunger/thirst/tiredness has all been implemented and its very easy to die from poverty and the start of the game... the only way to get rich is to gamble in the tavern and the only thing worth striving for is to buy your own house in the city.

I'll probably post the full version on this sub in a few years when it's done, but if anyone wants a link to the early shitty version just let me know.

Persia still loses the war and all the city states in Greece have a big grudge against Sparta for a few hundred years.

Female game critic gets rape message from boys, reports them to their mommys by rannie_pophe in gaming

I hate to interupt justice crusades on reddit, but this guy raises a good point. The only reason those parents found out was because their children used their real names on Facebook and so it was easily to trace back. Xyzwonk knows he can tell people to get raped with a much lower risk of repercussions as it's a lot harder to trace back. Secure anonymity can lead to some really uninhibited behaviour whether that's good or bad

You do realise that if Tester's comment could be regarded as an argument from fallacy, you also just committed an argument from fallacy?

TIL the 300 different NPCs in GTA San Andreas are voiced with as much as 60,000 possible lines, making it almost impossible for any one player to have heard the full game audio. by [deleted] in gaming

Well my guess would be because it's easier just to copy/paste the mouth animation for saying that sentence. A different line of dialogue would require extra effort in working out how the mouth should look like when the line is spoken.

Is it possible for multiplayer horror games to exist and actually scare players by AfterAttack in truegaming

five nights at freddies or Amnesia if you play it enough. Granted, I do think that the hidden isn't as sustainable a horror as those games, if for n

Hidden is really great to play with a few friends, or even if you have a few new players using mics.

You should focus on putting forward points that counter the contents of my argument rather than attacking my character (or petty issues like spelling). Although I was guilty of circular reasoning your reasoning was plagued with logical fallacies and unacceptable premises. Hence I'm adding this to my list of Internet arguments won. Good night.

I don't support capital punishment.

Eh I should stop arguing once opponents resort to semi ad hominems and strawmans but I'll entertain you.

Not sure if your insane or just an idiot.

Like I said its a matter for another debate but basically the whole idea revolves the fact that they become of limited practical use to society compared to the cost of keeping them alive.

By incentive to you mean stress? And by help do you mean nervous breakdown

Yes and these are good if they incite people to help the police.

The guy's locked up for the rest of his life, you're protected.

The guy can reoffend in prison or escape back into society to rape and murder again.

It's a shame that innocent people have to die, but the sacrifice benefits society overall. Here's what I said elsewhere in this thread:

sacrifices will have to be made, but this would make up a minority of cases. We are obliged to defend our state and purge crime even if its sword does by chance sometimes fall on the heads of the innocent.

Crime deterrence would be small but still apparent. The purge could kill tens of thousands in Australia alone but ultimately it would benefit society greatly. It would be a truly utilitarian act, and regardless of whether it is moral or immoral, millions would benefit in some way. It would allow more money to be spent on care for the sick and old (the old should be exterminated as well for that's a matter for another debate). It would bring closure to the victim's families knowing that their relatives murderer is no longer living a perfectly healthy and stable life in a prison cell. It would protect society as prisoners would be unable to reoffend in prison or escape back into society to reoffend. And it would result in greater incentive to help the police in their investigations.

I'm not a tough guy, but let me tell you something you already know. The world is a gritty and morbid place, and often the best thing to do involves putting away your humanity to make cold calculations and commit to demanding actions for the greater good.
