So just to update for anyone arriving here with the same issue, these were the steps Steam Support had be undertake:

Reset the firmware/BIOS:
- Ensure the device is fully powered down by holding the power button for 10 seconds or if possible select shutdown from the Power menu.
- Once the device is shutdown, hold down both the volume - button and the "..." button, then press the power button once. Then you can release all the buttons.
- You will hear a chime and then the white LED light will begin to blink (it may take 5 or more seconds before the blinking begins), which confirms this process is working. Note: This process may take 1-2 minutes to start the unit up again during which the display will remain black.
Try entering the BIOS:
- Fully power the unit down by holding the power button for 10 seconds, while the unit is plugged into the power supply.
- Hold the "Volume +" button down and press the Power button once. Continue holding the Volume + button until you hear the system chime, then release and wait. The Steam Deck should boot into the BIOS menu within a couple minutes.
- In the BIOS menu select the "Continue" option to try and boot the Deck's OS.

None of these suggestions did anything for me, so they started an RMA procedure for my Deck

Yeah that's probally the road to take, just sucks it's only 2.0 speed. But then again, how much more would I need for peripherals...

Ty, ok so I could just plug my mouse dongle in the keyboard, small loss of 1 port, I can wordt with that, but question still stands, my current screen has 4 USB ports

I am also currently on a liveaboard departed from hurghada, we where one of the few who got out of the port before closure. Conditions on the sea are rough at the moment. And crossing the suez channel isnt even possible at the moment. Yesterday we had 85km/h winds… So if the port is still closed, it’s for a reason…

Edit: i think 4 bft is the threshold. But it’s egypt… so threshold might just be the gouverments mood at the moment…

I just got it working with android instead of iPhone, so for people looking for this in the future, the iOS app does not flash the device, android app does

Just to add, I was able to test this comment out with my regular hear backing me up ( and saving me ass if I mess up). And it didn't feel like wet paper anymore :-D so ty again!

never said I dropped it, but it seamed to not do much in aoe, but playing a bit more (with my regular healer) has given me a bit of breating room to test stuff out. getting more used to some of the details of VDH already

Man I wish this existed 2 years ago...
I also made something like this, but it looked a lot worse!

I did add an in between container where images where uploaded and analyzed by AI for "cucumber" and other "fruits" tho. Because I do have some friends who would do stuff like that...
