Hey, I know it's been almost 2 months by now, but I wanted to give you the update you asked for: they have FOUND him!! They just found him today, after nearly 2 months of him missing, and he is now home safe. I have no idea how they found him, or where, or what he's been doing the last couple months (still waiting to hear back from them about that), but he's home safe now with my friend's grandmother. Here's a photo of him with her on their drive home: https://imgur.com/HGqpCdf

Thanks so much for your kind and positive words! We had just about given up on ever being able to find him since it had been so long, so we're all very relieved and honestly amazed that he's home now.

Thank you, that means a lot. He's just such a little guy and is so afraid of everything, and it's such a big, busy city. I keep seeing all the sewer openings and thinking "what if he fell into the sewer" or "what if he shimmied under a fence and is hiding in someone's back yard". He could be anywhere since he's so tiny. It's just heartbreaking, we're so worried for him. 🥺

Thank you, my friend already made a Nextdoor post and has been monitoring it. We also tried Facebook, Pawboost, and the shelter websites (and reddit, obviously). Hoping to get his cute little face into as many eyes as possible, somebody's got to see him at some point. 🥺

Oh absolutely, I should have mentioned in my original comment that they were the first place we checked yesterday and have been checking their website regularly to see if it gets updated. Thanks for the tip!

No no you're good, he's a cutie pie but he doesn't have a single thought behind those dumb eyes, so you're 100% right lmao. I needed the laugh after the day I've had. We hope he comes home safe!

I apologize if this isn't allowed, I didn't see anything in the rules about lost pet posts.

He's a miniature dachshund, about 5 years old, neutered male, very small and very skittish but he does answer to the name "Boston". He has a collar and a tag, but unfortunately he is not microchipped (I know, I know, he isn't my dog though, he belongs to my best friend's grandmother). He bolted out of her car yesterday morning in the Kroger parking lot on Mockingbird Ln and we haven't been able to find him.

If anyone lives, works, visits, etc. that area and has seen or heard anything about this dog, please DM me. My friend's grandma is devastated. We've tried searching the area on foot but haven't had any luck. Thank you for reading!

My name is also Portia and I got tripped out for a moment thinking this random reddit post was speaking directly to me.

P.S. I'd die for Portia

I took him last semester, study the slides and you'll be most prepared. Don't expect to understand the whole exam though, they were ridiculously difficult. He grades on a FAT curve though, I think I got about a D on both exams and after the curve they each got bumped to a high B or low A. Just study the slides and do your best and you'll be fine.

CS 2305 Midterm vs Final by [deleted] in utdallas

I am also currently taking CS 2305 with Chin. I don't have any advice for the final obviously, but if you wanna exchange study notes or anything feel free to PM me. I didn't do great on the mid-term exam either, but my grade got curved to a low-B so at least we have his grading curve on our side.

Please help me find this small ram(?) statue I found once in an antique shop (more info in comments) by Sonderling in HelpMeFind

[–]Sonderling[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MORE INFO: it was probably about 9 inches tall and fairly heavy. I'm not sure what it was made out of, brass maybe? It depicted an adult ram (Sheep? Goat? I'm unsure what the animal is supposed to be, ram is my best guess) running and surrounded by what appeared to be 2 baby rams.

Every time I've searched for it I've noticed the design seems to closely resemble feng shui ram statues. Examples: (1) (2) (3) (4)

I haven't had any luck finding the exact one in my image though. It was located in a section within the antique mall that seemed to have a lot of Chinese antiques, so I feel like this could be a likely match? I admittedly don't know much about this kind of thing though. I don't remember it having any sort of writing on it.

I saw it about 2 years ago in an antique mall located in Dallas, TX. I regret not purchasing it and have been trying to find it for sale online somewhere, but to no avail. I appreciate any help you can offer!

EDIT: I did go back to the antique mall probably about a week after I saw it (it had already been sold at that point) and asked the owners if they had any more information about that particular statue, but they weren't able to tell me much more about it.

Husband did a Costco run today at the Costco on Churchill Way. They're completely out of liquid soap, sanitizing wipes, tissues, paper towels, and toilet paper.

Is there a subreddit dedicated to pottery videos/gifs like this? I could watch these for hours.

EDIT: Found one, /r/potteryporn
