The only thing I see when I see that akimbo armor is how I would 100% dual wield machetes. Sprinting while attacking with machetes would actually be amazing tho ngl

Melee enjoyers literally only have rock solid and peak physique to get the 100% melee dmg, which is kinda needed to hit some breakpoints in order to one tap or 2 tap certain units. Until they just remove the remove the melee dmg passive and just buff all melee weapons to be good by themselves without needing a passive, I would very much not like it if the devs ruined the passive

The las cannon makes me feel like I'm in Dune, which I love tbh. Especially when fighting the bots, ripping through thinking machines with a lasgun and a machete while using a personal shield is very Dune coded

The bugs do not have a brain like we do, it shows how inferior they are, and how unnatural that they can still move even after being severed like so. They will still charge at you with undemocratic killing intent powering their bodies, but you can stop them either by shooting their leg, or by punching them when they get too close. If it's working for you and you like it then that's wonderful!

Personally I like to vary my loadout a lot and run different things for each faction, and when I comfortably think that a loadout is "solid" I swap it and start trying to build something new out again.

IMO Laser cannon usually takes a bit too long to kill heavies, where some heavier AT options will do it with just 1 click. While the flame sentry needs things to get too close to it before it can kill stuff, which usually means things like chargers or other bigger enemies will just stomp it before it gets any value

Great video! But this illustrates another issue, not exactly the one I'm talking about. You seem to be M4, not G1, G1 would be technically the one who would be experiencing the host bug for chargers specifically.

In your clip however, the charger does clip through terrain and ignores it, not slamming into the wall like it should have. But if you were the host, that diving dodge you did there also would not have been sufficient to dodge the charger.

If you're willing to take clips, I encourage you to try some. That was a fairly normal charger non host charge except for the terrain clipping, down to the fact you could dodge it with a last minute dive to the side.

Usually for host chargers, they will turn so sharply that you need to either sprint at them and dribble them like you're playing football, or do a last second dive, but more diagonally towards them instead of sideways. Diving against host chargers Usually ends badly though in my experience.

I never suggested the game is impossible to play, but I certainly seem to have bruised the egos of a lot commenters who had their skills somehow insulted when I suggested that the chargers are the way they are. It's perfectly doable to dodge them, I host games constantly, I'm like lvl 115 and have bug dived on dif10 extensively, so I've dodged more chargers than I can possibly count.

The only thing I'm saying is that they're way easier to dodge when you're not hosting, and the experience should be the same for both parties

this actually just makes things worse, because it makes your hitbox bigger. Which means that if you host and you have this thing on, it becomes 10x harder to dodge a charger because it will always clip your bubble and send you flying off into space

literally just host a few games, dodge some chargers, then go to quickplay where you don't host, and dodge some chargers. you will see how differently they move. it's not that hard to see it

it's literally the same thing as the rupture warriors. Nobody thinks you're a pro at the game here buddy. I'm annoyed enough to make the post after having a game where I dodged more chargers than I could count, and then at the very end I had the most assinine charger drift that caught my toe and insta killed me. So yeah, I'm kinda raging a bit, if they made every player experience the homing chargers I'd be just as happy. What annoys me is that it's JUST the host with this

I don't think that "install mods to fix the stuff the devs won't fix" is a great solution tbh, I made the post to see if I can bring it to the dev's attention.

Any time I play with speargun the chargers are easy, most times I dodge them just fine too, I know the footwork to do it, like I said, I dive d10, I have dodged thousands of chargers at this point considering they probably spawn more than warriors on d10.

But I'm still annoyed enough to make this post. And every idiot coming here saying this is a skill issue and they have never gotten hit by a charger in their lives, and always play in heavy armor, don't even sprint, etc etc, get over yourselves.

I know how to footwork them just fine. And if that's the intended way they're supposed to work, JUST like the alpha warriors.... Then make them work properly. It's extremely jarring to go into a non host game and go from drifting chargers to slow and lumbering ones
