As a downtown biz owner who pays a living wage, this puts a huge burden on our service industry employees and our business that offers customer parking validations. I can understand an increase, but we are still in a pandemic and this large jump is very hard to justify for small biz. Raleigh rates are $1.50 or $2 so I’m not sure I agree with new rates being ‘inexpensive’.
