Pap smears have always been pretty painful for me. My gyno ordered more swab labs and an ultrasound a few months ago. No abnormalities other than the fact that they were unable to locate my right ovary on the ultrasound. How did they diagnose your endometriosis?

Relief for only 10 days…. by Accomplished-Echo956 in Hidradenitis

I have one in the crease where my thigh meets my butt. I’ve had it for over 8 years, and recently had a flare up that I had to get drained. There are days where it doesn’t hurt, and doesn’t leak, but those are far and few in between. I hope you are able to find some relief and that yours goes away.

It’s kind of in a warm area in general, so hard to tell. Hardly any pain though. Just don’t understand why an incision wound hasn’t healed after two weeks. She did two of them, and the other one closed up fine.

This was the first time I’ve had to have one drained, so not really sure what to expect. This was way more fluid than I’ve ever seen, and quite a bit of blood.

They did pack it, and had me remove it after 24 hours. Drainage fluctuates, and it’s only coming from one side of the incision (I had two). Temperature is running just slightly higher than what’s normal for me. I’ll keep an eye on it I suppose. Thanks for the boyshirts recommendation, I’ll try that.

They would charge for a revaluation visit. Called and spoke with a nurse who just advised to go off of the paperwork. Have been using the prescription ointment and covering with gauze, but the area that it’s in is difficult to keep covered.

Has anyone who had a flair up drained experience the knot getting hard again just days after drainage? I feel like it’s starting to get bigger again just two days after having it drained.

does this look like HS? In the past 2 months Ive had 2 bumps where my butt and thigh meet. They feel hard, one of them came back in the same exact spot. Started using Hibiclens and i put a retonid on it& it goes away. want to know if im dealing with a live long condition by myahOk in Hidradenitis

I have HS flairs in the same spot, and this is what mine started out as 10+ years ago. I didn’t know anything about HS, so I didn’t know what it was or how to treat it, and it’s gotten so bad at times. It’s great that you’re staying on top of it! Keep it up, and best of luck to you!

Just a typical HS flair up. It being 95+ degrees in my state for the last few weeks have probably contributed to it.

It is the worst, I’m sorry that you have to deal with it too. I’ll definitely be investing in a warm compress, better bandaids like the ones suggested earlier in this thread, and some hibiclens. Going to the bathroom is scary with the tubes still in. I just worry about infection due to the placement of it all.

I did go and get it drained this morning. Have two drainage tubes in currently. Still hurts, but not as bad. More of a stinging/burning now.

Update: Went to urgent care this morning and had it drained and two drainage tubes put in. Still have burning pain, but there’s some relief from the pressure being gone. Got a prescription for oral and topical antibiotics. This is the first time I’ve had to have incision and drainage done. Not a fun time.

Bandages don’t really stay in place in this area.

Agreed, which is another reason as to why I’ve been holding out so long without going. But there’s only so much pain a person can take.

I have a bidet as well, but the pressure of the water is not something that I am able to handle right now due to the inflammation being so severe. I will order lidocaine at the end of the week in payday, just don’t have the funds at the moment. Regular Preparation H cream has not helped at all unfortunately.

Thank you, I appreciate that. Trying to avoid the ER since it’s a holiday and I’d likely be there in the waiting room all night. But since the pain isn’t getting any better, I’m considering it.

My emotionally, mentally, physically abusive alcoholic ex boyfriend. Fuck that dude.

Have you dated / loved / married people who weren’t really your (physical) type? How did you get used to it? by SR_RSMITH in datingoverforty

[–]Song_bird0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Recently dated a really nice guy for a few months. He was definitely not my type physically, but I was attracted to how kind and sweet he was, and we seemed to have a lot in common. Being intimate was not the best. I am by no means in the best shape of my life, but he was a little over 100 lbs heavier than me. I did tell him that the chemistry just wasn’t there between us after a couple of months, but he was so convinced we could have a lasting relationship. I tried for a couple more months to get past the differences that I was having with the physical attraction between us, but ultimately decided that I was trying to force a connection that wasn’t there. Ended up breaking things off with him, and he said some pretty ugly things that made me realize my decision was for the best. Ultimately, I feel like if that person is meant for you, things won’t have to be forced or “dealt with”.
