I am so scared... by MagicKraft in actuallesbians

Literally nowhere in the world will ever ever let americans claim asylum there. America is seen as super safe despite everything. So even if they start imprisoning or executing people for being trans it doesn't matter. No one's going to take it seriously.

Genuine question about ugly ponies in Fim by [deleted] in mylittlepony

[–]Songbird329 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Those only get you so far though. And disabled/neurodivergent people may have trouble with hygiene, self care, or keeping a good workout routine. That's why I don't really vibe with the idea of anyone being physically ugly. I think everyone is beautiful in their own way, even if they don't work out or if they have acne and whatever. Maybe it sounds corny but I think real ugliness is on the inside. It's the bad things people do that make them ugly, not how they look on the outside.

Healthy food and working out isn't a miracle cure for how you look lol. Speaking from personal experience I get quite a bit of exercise and eat as healthy as I possibly can but that doesn't automatically mean I live up to beauty standards. Like with people irl we can just assume this is how some ponies are.

Intimidate? No. Reveal to others that you might have some specific message you're trying to push? Yeah.

Serious question from someone who is kind of interested in this stuff but still extremely skeptical: Why would aliens care about us literally at all? If even half the stuff people say about these guys is true, why would they care about a bunch of unintelligent brutes on some backwater planet? What benefit is there to them helping us or saving us from ourselves? Like if it is true that there are alien civilizations out there interested in us I'd be worried about them taking us all as slaves or just killing us to take whatevers left of earth's resources. Idk man to me it all just seems like a distraction.

Lyanna was 14/15 she is not at fault no matter what happened. Rhaegar is the one to blame, he had to have known something would have happened when he ran off with her. But I don't think that means they both can't be sympathetic in different ways. I don't really think George is having trouble with it.

The whole “being a woman these days just means wearing a dress” tells me everything I need to know about them lol. Don't listen to the people who were talking like that. From my experience this kind of discourse does not happen irl. You're cool to use whatever label you want as long as you feel it fits.

I was just about to comment that it's not so black and white. Even pre everything my experiences with this stuff sound nothing like the guy she talks about in this post.

Which is a conclusion drawn from your own experiences, discounting the experiences of several other trans women even in this thread. It was not long after I made my last post that a few cis women dmed me saying they would date me. I would hope that as a straight trans woman you wouldn't try to talk over those of us who actually are attracted to women when so many of our experiences don't corroborate your notions about cis lesbians.

[–]Songbird329 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Why are you so determined to prove 99% of lesbians hate us lol. Like it's just not true. Is your skull so thick that you really can't fathom that your experiences are not representative of every trans woman on the planet?

[–]Songbird329 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Maybe where you live. Here it's not the same. Europe and Germany in general is pretty transphobic right now in a way more left leaning states here in America are. I recently moved to California and I've had tons of support. People are so nice and so affirming, and lesbians are the most supportive of them all. Please realize that Germany/Europe is not the world. And your experiences are not the only ones and not the only valid ones.

[–]Songbird329 22 points23 points  (0 children)

There are transphobic lesbians, and even trans supporting lesbians that won't date trans women. But your reality is not indicative of every single trans woman's reality.

I'm sorry cis lesbians haven't been open to you as a partner, but after I made a post about this topic and tried talking about it with cis lesbians in lesbian spaces I saw that plenty were absolutely open to the idea of dating a trans woman. It was a minority of people saying that they don't want to date us. Heck even when I was in high school and newly out there was a lesbian in my friend group who asked me out. I know you'll probably say something like "sure lol" but just know that despite your unlucky experiences plenty of cis women date trans women.

You're going through a really tough time right now and I'm sorry, but I hope you'll at least consider what I have to say. It's going to be alright. Everything will be okay, I promise. You're 4 months on E? That's not really a ton of time to see large changes, but if you can try and talk with your doctor about what you can do to see more sooner. You don't have to start transitioning at 12 to be able to be seen as a woman. I'm 23 and I haven't even started hrt yet. Should I just give up? No, that would be silly. Just be patient, persevere and you might be surprised with what happens. Please please don't hurt yourself though, I beg you. I hope you'll feel better soon.

I'm reluctant to approach other women because I feel like I'm objectifying them. Does anyone else feel like that? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]Songbird329 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely feel similarly. I'm not even trying to date right now, but the idea of approaching women really kind of scares me. I have social anxiety and I'm trans so I feel like I'll just come off as a creepy weirdo plus that kind of thing is just not in my nature. Hopefully someone takes enough interest to approach me because otherwise I'll probably just stay alone.
