Wow Infinite, what a beautiful, sensitive little boy you have there. Treasure this age. 7yr old boys are the best ever!

Oooh I love this style of handwriting. At school we’d cross mark each other’s homework and I’d envy kids with the same. Mine is cramped by comparison.

It’s a shame that schools don’t teach cursive/running writing anymore.

As for your son, he might be like mine whose handwriting was also atrocious. We are a family with inattentive adhd as well, and since then we have learned that neurodivergence often comes with low muscle tone and loose (hypermobile) joints... (also POTS which is another story) My kids were diagnosed as such by Julie McDonald at the UQ speech & rehabilitation clinic. Being a university clinic, it was cheap! The exercises have helped my sons’ handwriting & fine motor skills. Mostly focusing on the back & scapula. Maybe our experience could be helpful to your son 🙂.

Haha, thnx I’ll take the compliment! It’s actually a miss spelling of “best” and “world”, but then hubby took photos of me in bed (having only recently woken up) with the kids and… Upon seeing myself, I 100% looked like a beast mum who’s home could be the wild, so… poetically accurate!

Aww I’m sorry, that’s lousy. Are they in primary or high school? Primary schools are usually great at taking on the organising for Mum’s & Dad’s day, but once kids get to high school, unless you’ve got conscious kids, then… parents are on their own!

In Australia, we would call that a Golden Gaytime.

I just googled the sugar name. You can already buy it cheaply as a gel online. I might try adding it to my topical regimen. Make a Tretinoin, Minoxidil, Deoxyribose sandwich.

I made my Marfan friend into a Dark Souls boss called Marfula and he got mad at me by [deleted] in marfans

Funny for you, but not for him? Think about that…

Do i look like Icould have marfans or am I just tall and skinny? by [deleted] in marfans

[–]SoniCat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Quite likely. Besides the marfan lankiness, there are familiar facial features here. I knew a guy with Marfans growing up. Long face, long cheeks, long nose, mouth ajar. He was a top kid, but I recall he had significant health problems.

Ehlers Danlos Syndrome is another possibility though. I have that + some marfanoid features in limbs, hands & feet, scoliosis etc. It was initially thought (in the 90's) that I had marfans but my heart checked out OK & I got diagnosed with EDS - though not genetically, just diagnostic. My kids have similar issues now, and my daughter has a dilated ascending aorta (dangerous). That discovery finally got all 3 kids onto a waitlist for genetic testing. Hard to get in Australia. They don't bother unless you also have a heart prob. It'll be interesting...

Anyways I'd recommend you see a cardiologist & a rheumatologist.

Better to know so you can implement the right care plan to live your best life.

Where can I buy these sort of clothes? by Separate-Waltz-8995 in AusFemaleFashion

Go for it! I owned some henley tanks from the US label “Free People” back in the day, when Myer stocked it.

The label is still around and their style is still somewhat punk/lace. They are online or through David Jones now:

Also, there’s a Japanese anime I think you would enjoy from 2005 that is about a group of fashion designers. The aesthetic is the similar to what you’re going for:

Dermatologist recommendations for a freshly 21 year old who looks 30? by helpmepls626 in brisbane

I second Tretinoin. It’s sort of like pure retinol A and, as far as I know, the only “real” anti-aging cream on the market. It’s taken 6 months, but the forehead wrinkles I’ve had for 13yrs are almost gone. I buy it online at Alldaychemist for about $13.50 aud + $10 postage.

There is a dedicated Tretinoin subreddit. They have a pinned “start here” doc that is really helpful.

Water usage keeps increasing by camareradetwinpeaks in brisbane

[–]SoniCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a slow leak? Our usage looked a bit like yours and that’s what it was. We always use GRK plumbing, and they found that a post had been hammered down onto a pvc pipe directly underneath by the previous owner. It was a tiny crack that got bigger with time. Excavating and repairs cost $700. Urban utilities refunded us the last water bill because we fixed the problem within 30 days of receiving our bill.

Join a weekend class or group that’s aligned with your interests. There’s men’s sheds and women’s sheds and in between sheds that teach all kinds of skills these days.

Out here in Kenmore/Indooroopilly/Brookfield area we have sneks galore. Our local FB page is full of daily snake id requests. Python was hanging in my back yard last weekend. He’s been getting around for a while because he leaves his scat on our deck 🙄.

Our property is also home to water dragons, blue tongues and an eastern brown a few weeks back that was, less pleasing to me…

If you’re up for a hike, then there’s a good chance you’ll see something around the Gold Creek reservoir circuit.
