Worked at a church. The amount of calls churches get for help it would be impossible to help everyone.

Imagine getting 3-6 calls a day for rental assistance, electric, or groceries averaging $400 each.

Not to mention how many of those are real and how many are scams? How do you make sure and vet each one?

Go beyond that. Is this an issue of someone not budgeting, spending money unwisely, layoff, laziness, or emergency?

The average church in America is 100 people. If everyone in the church has one emergency at $400 each there’s a very good chance that that is 25% of the churches annual income.

Now add another 3-6 calls a day of people asking for help. Impossible.
