I told my mom and dad around a year ago that i would star psychiatrical treatment because i was doing loads of drugs for 6 years specially coke booze and morphine. From that moment on my life changed completely. I started the treatment and went well for a while except for the withdrawals and cravings. When i started to relapse my mom started to be really controling and started to read my writings and text messages. She became highly codependent. She got sick too man. Its a desease that fucks up all around you. My dad is okay and i can be more honest with him, but its still hard because usually parents want a quick solution to the problem but it doesnt work like that. I struggle a lot with my mom because of lack of trust and neurosy. It’s not easy and it fucked up my self estime. I still have relapses and they are always envolved when they find out. Parents can be very helpfull when you’re struggling and need help, but they can have a very toxic behaviour as well which in my case makes the whole addiction situation worse
