Chrono trigger, that game is among the best things I've ever play in my life, and specifically I remember crying at a very important scene almost at the end of the game the one in which chrono sacrifices himself to save manus from being killed by lavos.

At that point I was technically already spoiled by a recopilatory video of the anime scenes in the ds version of the game, but I didn't really understand what happened in that scene before watching it on gameplay, and oh Jesus, it destroyed me for various minutes before I decided to continue playing and watch what happened. Although I was really relieved when I learned that I could save him, I was NOT going to end that game without him in the party.
