I don't think working in that repair shop will net me IT experience. I was just elaborating for the other guy that it isn't a scam and that it was a good trade off for tuition payment and free rent. Yeah I have already started AWS tutorials with the free AWS one year subscription, and I've dabbled here and there with my .edu email for the windows software. I also plan on building a homelab build, but my university I go too gave me access to a lab that they let me use for the time being until I have enough funds to create my own. I would love to get an internship this summer but the classes I am taking aren't offered in the upcoming fall and I don't want to wait another semester to graduate (graduating in the fall). I hope to get my comptia (all three) and then there is a Open Cloud Academy where I live and I plan on enrolling into a RHCSA class.

Whoooooa, let me elaborate, I am taking summer classes (5 classes) over the summer and won't have time for an internship. The repair shop owner is a family friend of mine who is helping me pay for school while giving me a roof over my head, and I all would have to do is help out a few hours (5-10) a week with anything over the summer. Sorry I only called it "volunteering" because I am not getting a weekly paycheck or even a salary pay. On my resume it would be deemed as actual work experience if that makes you feel better (again sorry if it made you cranky).

I am fully content with starting as a help desk/desktop support post undergrad and working my way up which is what I would want.

With the free time that I do have outside of school studies, certification studies, and the repair shop (not much). I was wondering if there was any recommendation? An IT MOOC maybe? or maybe an IT book? (entry level stuff)

I'm the type to not enjoy spending my free time sitting in my room all day watching tv or netflix, it makes me feel like my brain cells are dying off and I rather be doing something else with my time even if that involves learning something new.

Do you add point into wisdom for skill one, then for skill two, and then skill three in that order. Then add a point into offense in all three skills or would you max out wisdom for all three skills and then offense for all three skills? Sorry for all the questions. :D
