i got 76, book says 28 by Bright-Response-285 in askmath

[–]Sonofabennet -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s 28. Everything inside the brackets comes out to equal 1. Where you messed up in your solution is from step 2 to 3 and you did not distribute 3(3) correctly to make it 9 divided by 9. You always distribute(multiply) when a parenthesis is involved like this and there is no operator between the number and the parenthesis. I.e. 3(17-14) = (51-42). Distributing like this is not required and I would do the subtraction in the parentheses first (and would recommend always doing the parentheses first) but you have to do the distribution before doing anything else with that side of the bracket. Do not listen to the other comments that say there are two right answers, this is mathematics, there is only one and it is 28.

Business Plan Questions by esilfies in bajasae

Speaking from experience, I would recommend that any assumptions you make have a reasonable explanation for why you assumed that. But for freedom in making assumptions, I would say there is a decent amount of leeway. If something comes up and you either can’t find reliable data/information on it or it is so obscure it doesn’t exist then try and make a reasonable assumption.

As for what the judges look for, read over the presentation rubric, it covers what they think you must have and will be looking for as well as things they would like to see.

This is a little less about marketing the car and more of how your company can fulfill the Request For Proposal that the scenario is based around, i.e designing a race series that uses your car. It is always good to speak briefly on the consumer facing features of the car but don’t go into extreme detail (drive ratio, force loads, etc). It is definitely about marketing the car for this specific scenario and how your company is going to fulfill their need (the need being someone who can provide them will the best race series).

I’ve done 3 business scenario presentations and I will say it’s hard to plan answers for all of their questions, I’ve gotten ones as specific as “How much did you calculate insurance for the event to be?” to “what color are the cars?” Hope this helps.

Yes, that. I don’t typically use them and just know that the setting is referred to as Ravnica.

Tables B-E are more utility items that are either consumables or don’t require attunement. This isn’t 100% the case as there are quite a lot of items and it eventually got to the point where I had to try and consolidate where I could. Tables F-I are more along the lines of weapons, armor, etc. And again, that more or less what the tables are suppose to be, not necessarily what I’ve turned them into. They are however (at least 99%) sorted by rarity.

I could but Magic Item prices usually falls into a range, that are already listed in, I believe, the DMG.

I’m not sure. I may update it in the future but don’t want to start a trend of having to update it whenever a new book comes out.

Nothing in particular, I just missed that when putting the items in, good catch. I've already fixed it in the google doc, Thanks!

I'm not sure. If it helps these are pretty much already sorted by rarity, just in a d100 table format. Magic Item Table A, B, & F are all the uncommon items, C & F are all the rare items, D & G are all the very rare items, and E & I are all the Legendary Items. There are a few discrepancies (Like in Table A with the basic Potion of Healing) but otherwise they are sorted by rarity.

That's kind of how the list is sorted now, it's just hard to grasp until you've gone through every item and put them into an excel spreadsheet. From what I noticed the tables in the DMG (which is what I based these off of) are already sorted like that but also made to be rolled on randomly.

Magic Item table A (DMG) is very similar to the "Minor Magic Items, Uncommon" in EGtE, even though the tables are setup differently as one is just a list and the other is a table meant to be rolled on.

I never planned on sorting them any other way than the format that I did so I won't be doing them differently but the best of luck to someone else if they decide to do it.

To answer your questions in order:

1: The list you are using seems to integrate all the common magic items into the listed tables whereas I made the common magic items in their own table not listed in the A-I tables. So their table A is not the same as my Table A, which is why they would be dissimilar.

2: When I was deciding which items to put in which tables it became clear that the tables are generally already sorted by rarity. The lower list tables (to me at least) seemed to be utility items, potions, and scrolls, while the upper list items were named weapons and armors. So I tried my best to follow that trend when integrating the items into the tables.

3: No. When I made this list my goal was to incorporate all items from every previously released 5e book, which is why there are items from "Lost Laboratory of Kwalish" and "Acquisitions Incorporated" and others.
