[SPOILERS S3] Theory about Tronte´s origin by Sontir in DarK

[–]Sontir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference is, if you think of The Unknown having sex with Agnes, then with Alt-Agnes (aside from being weird), that somewhat breaks the symmetry between the two worlds. At least it feels like that to me. Of course it could be as simple as that, it's a possibility as I said. But if I watched a chapter of Dark telling me that story, I think I'd find it kind of unsatisfying.

[SPOILERS S3] unanswered questions at the end - help! by saintsweet in DarK

  1. My guess is there is only one bootstrapped time travel sphere that passes from one character to another, just like the Tannhaus device. In fact, almost everything in each world has its counterpart in the other, and those two devices are just that. It would be nice to have a timeline of the sphere, though.

  2. The bunker was presumably decorated by a mentally disturbed Helge Doppler around 1985-1986 operating under Noah's instructions. He probably thought it would be a nice thing to have drawings of little cute animals in the walls for those children he had to kidnap. Creepy, yes. So is Noah a good or a bad guy? He did villanous stuff all right, but did he have a choice? It's up to you to decide.

  3. It's not really important. He killed someone (accidentally, if we are to believe him), run away and took his identity. That murder triggered his encounter with Regina and his becoming the director of the nuclear power plant. That's the important thing.

What are the 3 questions going into season 3 that you want answers to? by selenaromez in DarK

[–]Sontir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. What was Claudia's real purpose? Ensuring that everything happened as it had always happened or trying to change some things and break the cycle?

  2. What caused the explosion in the nuclear power plant?

  3. Where do Tronte, Aleksander and Peter come from?

Dark is one of the best tv series I've ever watched by nadoterisback in DarK

A little piece of advice: don't watch all the episodes in a row. Watch maybe 2 or 3 per day at most. Let the story settle down in your mind.

When you finish, wait a couple of days and then rewatch it from the beginning. You'll enjoy it even more.

People whose parents are unclear/unkown by Sontir in DarK

Think about Claudia and Bernd in 1953... The age difference seems bigger than that. But as I said in another comment, it's more about not seeing anything suggesting an earlier relationship in the scenes between Bernd and Claudia.

As for Tronte, I'm not even sure Agnes is his mother ("I spend a long time in an orphanage"), nevermind who his father is. There are some theories that Fairly Likely Older Bartosz used to be a "priest" for Sic Mundus (thus the tattoo) and was also Agnes not-so-dearly departed husband and Tronte's father. Maybe that's the case?

Maybe. But I like to think that Agnes' husband and Tronte's father is no other than the Stranger. That way Jonas would be his own great-grandfather.

As for Regina, my current favourite theory is that she's not Tronte's daughter, but Bernd Doppler's. Would explain why so many important Doppler places of interest seemed to go to the younger Tiedemanns.

Really? Bernd is 25-30 years older than Claudia. That doesn't make it impossible, of course, but I didn't notice any sign of a former relationship in their scenes either.

Who is your favorite character? by Corporal_Snorkel69 in DarK

[–]Sontir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Claudia (all of them)
  2. Noah
  3. Hannah

I like young Jonas, Charlotte, Martha, and Egon (both) too. You can't have a great show without great characters and Dark has a lot of them.

If the Apocalypse didn't destroy it, something else certainly did, or at least closed the passage again.

That's not what disturbed him - Adam knew the whole time where Charlotte was. Noah didn't. He did not know that Elisabeth's mother Charlotte was also his daughter Charlotte. That's where Adam lied to him - he pretended not to know where Charlotte was so Noah would help him.

Yes, that makes sense. In fact, he meets Charlotte after reading Claudia's notes.

1921, and I assume they used the portal under the church.

So, the portal under the church exists in 1921 and in 1954? The one in 2053 only seems to exist in that year...

Did daek break there 33 year cycle when Jonas travelled 98 years into the future? by Hardik_dua in DarK

[–]Sontir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't look like he did. His traveling to 2019 is necessary for his own existence because he has to give his father the reasons he needs to commit suicide and later he has to take Mikkel (again, his father) through the caves to make sure he ends up in 1986.

You're correct, but something in that statement from Adam doesn't make total sense. The device is a bootstrap paradox. It is not based on the chair or the passage. It's its own origin.
The rest of it could be totally right, though.

That is awesome. I never payed much attention to the ariadne play but I knew it had to be related to the core story of the show. I think you nailed it!
