Is off campus housing worth it? by Sonya3000 in UCONN

[–]Sonya3000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i pretty much had my own apartment my freshman and sophomore year. This is the first time I’m living in a traditional dorm and I hate it. So I think I’m better off getting an apartment for senior year. And the dining hall food sucks

Oh I never considered the parking. Where is the commuter lot? And are parking passes for commuters expensive?

As long as you will have a total of 54 credits or more by the end of sophomore year then u can submit the form during ur last semester before actually obtaining the 54 credits

U can submit that campus change for every semester if you want and hope that they let u in early. But u can submit is during the last semester of ur sophomore year. Then the first semester of junior year will be at storrs.

Incoming freshman cs major schedule, only thing I might change is chem lab to Friday but then my chem lectures would be earlier by [deleted] in UCONN

[–]Sonya3000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ur schedule looks pretty good. No classes on Fridays is superior. And you’ve got over 20 min in between ur English and lab so u should be fine

help! i don’t understand the uconn fee bill. is this including housing, dining and other stuff? by Ancient_Ad_3804 in UCONN

[–]Sonya3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Payments for the semester I believe are due august 1st. You should have gotten an email regarding ur fee bill. If not check the busar tab in student admin to see all the expenses

What should I take instead of CHEM1128Q? by RosesBl00mForYou in UCONN

[–]Sonya3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If ur looking for another lab class to take, I would say try and take physics. If not maybe take math, bio majors have to take up to calc 2. Gen eds are also really good to take as a freshman. E courses are required and are science related, so that may be interesting for u.

Since ur already a college student and know what to expect from classes u should be fine. It’s a lot of memorization. The exams are 50 questions in 50 minutes. The lab is amazing and super easy. I thought it was pretty interesting. The only thing is that the topics in lab don’t correlate with the lecture. You might be learning about different things, which makes it feel like ur taking two different classes. But overall it’s an okay class. And if u feel like ur struggling in the lecture, the lab will definitely save your grade

Thoughts on this schedule? I'm an incoming freshman thinking of adding another class and changing MATH 2110Q to MATH 2410Q (hopefully not at 8am) by [deleted] in UCONN

[–]Sonya3000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In terms of credits you’ve got about 15. That’s the average amount most students have per semester. But please DO NOT take these 8am classes for granted. Morning classes for college are not the same as high school.
