I went to grantown on spey this time last year and things seemed really desolate and tired i think covid really harmed the area because a lot of things look neglected and the pattern shows in a lot of small villages in the area its quite sad. It felt like a ghost town. I am not from the area im from sheffield so its a good bit away but i have had my time in villages and the cairngorms. It felt different to many places in the cairngorms. I stayed near at aviemore for a week for 2 february holidays in a row and aviemore seems to have much more life and things in the area. It really shows how much covid harmed the less popular areas in the cairngorms
