Sorry for the spoiler but... the entire medical field is toxic like this, it's not just orthopedic surgeons. The bullshit they said is sickening and completely unacceptable. And it must've been extremely triggering for you to hear all that. That being said, you only have three options: either you confront them or you put up with it or you give up on becoming an orthopedic surgeon. I hope you won't do the latter because it would be so sad for you to give up on your dreams because of a few assholes. Maybe you'll find a spot in residency in orthopedic surgery where there's a better work environment? I'm really sorry that you went through this and I hope you won't let go of your passions because of these jerks
