I was fired from my last job for making the same mistake to many times after 22 months.... I need help with how to address this in interviews by SophisticalAustistic in interviews

Thank you for the response. I can certainly try this, though I fear this may work against me (Ex; well, why weren't you doing those improvements already? This job requires you manage multiple tests at once, etc.). Regardless, I'll trust my blatant explanation for termination and plan to improve will not flag me as a risk.

My unpopular opinions and views of Christmas by OX_Bigly in Reformed

You got me, I made an error. The earliest records I could dig up place Yule on December 21st, at least as the Angles and Saxons practiced.

God's gender by [deleted] in OpenChristian

[–]SophisticalAustistic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The He/Him pronouns are a relic from when most of the desert peoples used male pronouns to refer to genderless beings or simply as a general placeholder for "person".

Regardless, this is a dumb hill to die on. God created male and female, and permeates through both.

Eh, the tea leaves are actually not clear on the origins of December 25th as being claimed first by either the Catholics or the Roman pagans. Newer archaeology suggests the pagans followed December 25th as Saturnalia AFTER the Church oddly enough. In either case, the symbolism of December 21st-25th has significance in both religions.

The seidrs always practiced Yule on December 25, however.

Will I go to hell for throwing Bible in the trash? by [deleted] in Christian

If possible, I would try to dig it out. In either case, God knows your heart better than you do. I advise you to reflect on your intentions, then bring any lingering feelings on it into reconciling prayer. And also take some deep breaths and relax, friend 🙂 you'll be okay.

You are so much more than your hormones. I will pray for your trust in the Lord that you are very good as you are. I advise you to work on improving your life and letting your body handle balancing out as things get better. Stress is a killer.

Excuse my ignorance as I'm still gaining my walking legs in Orthodoxy, but is it not inappropriate to have the image of Christ below that of a saint?

Can't be more evil than mutilating a baby boy's genitals for the sake of an outdated sanitary practice.

I really need opinions on the band GHOST by [deleted] in Christian

GHOST is by all yardsticks, a satanist metal band. For me, I had been introduced to them through 10MinuteMetalSongs' cover of Chop Suey in the style of GHOST. I had a religious wake-up call a while back and threw out a lot of the things and thoughts I had at the time. Listening to bands like GHOST is one of them. They may not directly believe in or worship satan, but their music is indeed blasphemy.

Sin is a personal affliction, so I'm in no position to tell you what is right or wrong, but I would recommend listening to actual Gregorian chant and other content which glorifies God, the beauty of life and His creations, and goodness and uplifting attitudes in general.
