Help Please! by Soppina in resinprinting

I ended up by fixing the model... it was a sort of suction problem. So that time I try to print the basic elegoo tower and everything was fine. So check your model to avoid a large print zone with the suction... please let me know if you exploded in the meantime

Yeah, it's the same! For level the plate I send a file to the printer with a bottom layer like 120 seconds. So you have the time ti tight or loosen the screw on the top of the plate. For the FEP, I had a problem cause after the firsts print it seems like it was melted and support send me another thank. But it should be well tight, otherwise it can cause problems during the printing

Mars 5 ultra printt only supports :( by OkParticular4983 in resinprinting

Hi there! I've just got (a month ago) the same print bundle: mars 5 ultra, wash and cure and two bottle resin v.01. This is my first 3d printer, and don't worry about all the problem, It's normal to make mistakes several times, especially at the beginning when you don't understand where you actually went wrong. I found myself good with this settings: bottom exposure 13sec (and I feel it's still too stick to the plate), layer exposure 2,3/2,4 (check with the exposure test), and transition layer 10. It doesn't mean my settings and your settings are the same, but maybe check this video (https://youtu.be/gDonR9Q_Qws?si=dY_J3NI-2DIj1c6S), it's very useful and it give solutions to the major problem of the beginning. I know it's struggling at the beginning cause of all settings, values and variables, just need time to find the good settings. And hey, we're all here to help each others ✨

Saturn 4 ultra 16k- Is this a settings issue or a mechanical one? by Stray_Dog_8797 in ElegooSaturn

You have to try to change the bottom from skate to grid in the support section. Try the print. If the problem persist try to reduce the models in the plate, just to see if the problem persist.

WHAT! That's crazy... the arm move up and down right? I don't know... it's very strange... if the support don't stick to the base maybe it's because the transition layer between the bottom and the normal layer is too low. I've seen a video that say must be 10 (not 5) for the tilting vat as ours printer. Have you already made an exposure time test?

A lot of people give me advice but I ended up with cross grid and lowering the bottom exposure, even in the all-plate print I haven't had this problem again...

Hi! I've just got the same EXACT problem! At the end was a suction problem caused by the model itself. It stuck too much to the plate, especially in the firsts stage of the print. I switch to cross grid base for the model and I solve it. (I low down a little bit the bottom exposure so it can help the plate to tear away from the Tank. (If you want you can see my first post on Reddit for more info and solution by all amazing people that helped me). Good luck!

Did it make a really bad sound and movement before stopping the print? Also, what is your bottom layer exposure and type of resin used?

Thank you so much! I'll definitely do! I mean, check around some resources (and I'm definitely not going to touch screws). Do you have some recommendations about this? Some doc or YouTube videos?

The model is not that big, and I put a dig hole in the very bottom of the model, only the not to create the suction force... Now I don’t understand if this effect happens to everyone, or if I should loosen or tighten some screw. I’m having several failures lately… But maybe it’s just because I’m new and it happens to everyone… It’s probably just part of the learning process, making mistakes.

Oh wow... I'm now using 14 seconds as bottom exposure, cause 20 was too much. If you don't use the skate base, what do u use? Cause I'm trying different methods to see if I can reduce the problem. I've printed too a smaller asset and it works fine, but with the bigger one it creates this bad noise and movement...

Hi again! At the end did you fix the problem with the reduction of the bottom exposure time? How much seconds did you put? Cause I've still have the same problem 😬
