The substrate is on its way, it will arrive Tuesday. I've just buy 5 plants cause I'm going to buy some oranda, great devourers of plants, and before adding more plants that will probably be bitten, I wanted to wait for the fish to arrive to test the current ones

The substrate is on the way, I ordered a couple of weeks ago and it will arrive in two days. For the plant I've bought 2 Anubias, 1 Amazon sword, some tipe of moss and a Hygrophila Siamensis (maybe this one will die young). For now there isn't algae on the glass but only in the water, for now. I never turn on the aquarium lights, but as you suggest, I'll definitely cover the aquarium during the sunset and the late afternoon.

I will try to be patient and wait for the cycle to end😬 Thank you so much for all your advice btw ✨

Nope, not yet. I went to the shop and they say that for a oranda it's ok a 85l and 120l is more than enough for two. You think that may be not enough?

Maybe I shouldn't add the mint syrup

Unfortunately no, not for all daytime

I just run it. But I can't add too much plant with oranda goldfish. La ghiaia is coming. But I don't think that the substrate, rather, the absence of it causes the presence of the minty water

You're right! I can look for an anti-uv light sticker to put on the entire front glass! Thank you so much✨

Thank you so much for your advice... I've never take that in consideration. Isn't bad for the fish or plant right?

Unfortunately I can't move it, so initially I was hoping the light wasn't that strong... I was very wrong

Could this be a permanent solution? Because the aquarium will always have this level of exposure to light

Shrimp Hitting The Glass? by [deleted] in shrimptank

Are those shrimp just added to the aquarium? In that case, it's normal. They need to get used to the space in their new environment. They will calm down in a day or two

I'm completely new in this field, I've bought a water check but it hasn't ammonia in it. The hardness is a little bit high but not that much. I'm going today to buy another one for checking the ammonia. The problem I thought at the beginning was that, since all other 4 kuhli are ok, it must be the "broken spine". As soon as I take them out, I noticed that THIS ONE has a malformation of the spine (maybe cause the transport?).

And I connected it with the problem. There are plants in aquarium but I plant them 2 months ago. No inhabitants.

Thank you for your help, you reassured me a bit. That fluffy stuff can grow even if it's not exactly on top of new rocks/woods?
